I like 1000y eggs too ga !
Either you buy from Yung Kee, or from a reliable egg wholesaler loh (but may still be from PRC).
There is 1 shop in North Pt Market (Java Rd) near NP Pier, which sells good 1000y eggs - all "sugar-heart". There is also one egg shop in Kln City Market, which also sells "sugar-heart 100y eggs. The problem is whether you dare to eat them, and how many you dare to eat.
These 2 egg shops also sell v good salted-eggs, again the problem is whether you dare eat, and how many.

I try to ask yanyan for her "recipe" for vinegar + baby ginger la.

Or if you gals are willing to take over some of the ginger, I can ask yanyan to make all of the 30 catties, then share the cost ga ! But may not be pink in colour, cos nowhere to sun it. You need to put it out on balcony under the sun to make it go pink.
i.e. she does all the peeling, cooking in vinegar, then I pass to you and you sun it at home and wait for it to be ready to eat.

Cannot share - we use it for orange juice, ~7 to 8 oranges a day, finish 1 box of 56 in 7 days !!
Px of oranges sometimes like seafood ga.

The brand we bought last Thurs was Australian Stallion.
The 2 times before that was Aust Ace.
Before that it was Sunkist xxx.
Piglet prefers slightly sour oranges to entirely sweet oranges - the "sweet" ones usually tastes a little bitter.

Total raw baby ginger = 30 斤 catties this time.

Maybe I ask yanyan, then write it down re how to make it. Not difficult, but most troublesome thing is to peel the skin off. (Need to wear gloves. V hot on hands.)

Being 為食 is one of my virtues.

We usually buy 2x-30 catties, can last ~6-9 months for cooking.

i think i try 5 catties first la. i will share some with my mother and my honey likes to eat. He always eat many/pick many at 吉野家.

Will collect the raw baby ginger from BKmum grower tomorrow afternoon ==> expect yanyan to make it on Friday.
Maybe I ask yanyan to divide in 6 equal portions, so each portion ~5 catties. Then divide costs.

Do you have empty coffee mate jars ?
If so can you pass to TCS tomorrow ? !

Yanyan bought 2 huge glass jars but cannot deliver in these ga. Tooooo big. I think what she bought = the dried seafood jars

Will put 保鮮紙 on top then close the lid.
So doesn't matter what material the lid is, can be plastic or glass.
