I still cannot observe the web cam outside since the IP problem. I am using Netvegator and asked them for help but no use. Can you give me some light for the setting? Thanks.
Are you talking about IP address? There's no need to do any setting for IP address because the cam will obtain IP address automatically.
One needs to do the settings for the cam and also for the router. There should be full instructions along with the cam and the router (in CDs). Frankly the instructions there are very complete and detailed, although not easy to be understood. One needs to read and follow from beginning thru' the end in order to get the cam up and running. Without knowing your specific problem, anything I tell you now will also be quoted from the instructions anyway. How about you read/-re-read the instructions first, and if there are any points you don't understand you PM me so that I can check it out.
Have you tried to use the home computer to see if it works? Normally you should be able to see the demo thru' home computer. Otherwise you can lower the security setting.
A likely reason that you cannot view anything at the office is that the firewall at your company has blocked your access. You can try to disable the firewall of your own office computer to see if this can do the trick. If not, it is the company's security system blocking your access. Then it is out of your control and there is not much that you can do.
Another probable reason is that Active X has to be downloaded and installed when viewing the image (a window will pop-up automatically to ask if you want to download Active X). If your office forbids Active X program to be downloaded, you can try to manually install it by disc to see if you can go around the download problem.
May I know $23xx is the price for 1 observer or 4 observers? I read from the website of cyber express that max. 4 observers can be installed at the same time. Can I get the observer from the shop at LC Plaza? Besides, I am using the HGC PowerCom Boardband. Do you know if it works with Veo Observer ?
$23xx is the price of one wireless cam. It would be cheaper if it is with wire. Yes supposingly a max. of 4 cams can be installed and viewed at the same time but I have installed one (in dining room) so far. Actually I wanted to install more (in bedrooms) but my husband is not so convinced.
I don't think they have it in LC Plaza. (So we are neighbours?) The Mongkok shop I had mentioned before was referred to me by Cyber Express themselves.
Is the HGC PowerCom Boardband the one given to Cheung Kong residents free of charge (only deposits required), and requires only power supply (no other cables)? If yes, it gives a bandwidth of max. 3M only and the speed is not good enough for Veo.
You can try the following website to see whether you can view it at the office.

My company has the firewall and I try so many demo but failed. But this one is successful at last.
I find that it's quite good for me coz i can see my home at office haven't being blocked.
