If you can send me the school boundaries for Denistone East, that would be great. Becasue I'm searching the rental market and a new villa at Edgar St in Marsfield looks suitable (both price and size) for my family. As you know the rent is quite high these days and I need to apply asap if it is within the boundaries.

Hi everyone,

Very busy these 2 days as the container arrived on Tues. I've to unpack my 102 boxes. I've cleared up most the boxes today, but still have to tidy up the things. So tired.

Is there any recommendations on Piano tuning and also Piano teacher? I don't know whether it is common to learn at Piano Shop like HK.

Also, I'm looking for child care centre for my little girl. Any suggestions on reliable and good child care centre near North Strathfield/Concord?

My elder daughter started school on Tues and she loves the new school life. She told me that it is much relaxing than in HK, more painting and playing and less writing...haha. You know my girl studied in ESF in HK which had no pressure on schoolwork already. I wonder what she will learn at this school.

你pass咗driver knowledge test 未?講真我覺得師父幾好,不過有時都幾惡,因為我真係從來未掂過車的,而家學咗十幾堂,其實都好咗好多.

我師父在hurstville 的,如你要學,便要坐車過來,你住concord?都幾遠...

The other day I watched a program hosted by Jamie Oliver (the cute cook

) he explained why some food are so cheap (because of the terrible environemnt of poultry farm) and some are more expensive. thinking about almost all my food from HK were from China, I started picturing the farm environment....kind of terrible.
Then I decided to complain less about the food price.
anyway, all stuffs in Sydney are expensive - taxi, transportation, rental, food, service. I am not permenant resident so am enjoying no benefits. 最希望唔好病,唔係就煩

i've not taken the test yet. i made the appointment last Tue. When I arrived at the counter, the officer said my name shown in my bank card and passport are not matched. I used my 2nd word of my chinese name as the first name and the RTA officer said I should use my 1st word of my chinese name as the first name. My husband's driving license & bank card are also using his 2nd word of his chinese name as the first name. But I don't know why I can't. Anyway, I need to open another bank account and delay my test to coming friday. Good luck to me.

I think I can't travel to Hurstville to take the driving lesson. Anyway, thanks for your recommendation.

hi long time have not logged to this. HK weather is so hot, we have a mini ice-berg rain past Sunday and yesterday was the hottest day in record for the 37 degrees celcious. The heat storm trigger the heat stroke and 1334 needed emergency help. The thick gray smog obliterated Victoria Harbour yesterday.

I used to live in Sydney and returned to HK now for good.

Hi chelsea,

Yes, yesterday was really hot and humid. I'll move to Sydney this October, actually I'm very happy to go back as I studied Univ there but my husband seems very concern about the job market, it confused me. I'm not sure if our decided is correct or not, I always place my son at the first position in my heart but my husband is a bit selfish he only thinks about himself.

Just want to share my feeling, thanks.

Fully understand......

As some point of time, we have to make a choice and it's really personal, nothing is selfish or not, we will only say if that decision is suitable for that moment of time.

Like me, my boyfriend proposed the marriage but have to follow him to Sydney, I have to gave up promotion, translation and mandarin courses that I have taken, driving lesson or so, to the unknown future, that's brave when I looked back.

Again, respect the decision you've made, and you'll never regret.

To give a better academic future and broaden the horizon of your son are definitely no way of wrong-doing.

Since I am in HK and you need a pair of ears, I will be there for you, pm me.

What movie is on the show, we have Kung Fu Panda, Wall E, Batman-The Dark Knight, Mummy....

Hi, I'm back!

Dear all,

It's been a long time I didn't talk with you! Time flies, I'll be in Sydeny next weekend (10th Aug), together with my little boy.

I spent around 10 days in Sydney before to make myself being familiar with the new environment and to settle things down, esp. when the container arrived and leaving all the stuff on the floor!

The new home is in Artarmon (next to Chatswood) and I've been to Eastwood and Hurtsville before - my friends in church drove me there to 'yum cha'. The food in 'Wong Chiu' tastes really good!

Maybe we can come out for a drink during the day time when your daughter goes to school. My little boy will attend 5 days of day-care starting the end of Aug.

My 7 yrs old son and I will move to Sydney 2/10/08 (my wife will move to Sydney 03/09). We will stay in Kogarah (my wife' sister place, it is not far away from Hurstville). I know this is a mums chats. But can I join you all for a chat?

So you finally get a childcare place for Harris. Where is the centre? Close to your home? The pre-school just confirmed thatmy son will get a place in end of August (he must be 3 to attend pre-school). But it only offers one day in 08 and two days on 09. I can save more money as pre-school is paying less than childcare centre.
