COZmy ex-bunbun story still hasn’t been finished!!!
The process of kicking her out of my door is okay (both I and my friends and my husband said it is due to the videocam!!! ) thanks for yours advice on this... and she didn't ask me why but just want the reference letter and ask me few times of why I didn't put the reason of dismissal in it!@!!... then use the standard questions... no accomodation, no storage... want to stay her one more night... want to put her things here...why u didn't tell me in advance???difficult to find a new employer...(actually to delay the time coz she waits for her friends calling... tell her to count the final account!!! the airticket, and of coz the most important thing... $$$$$)... and her 做戲 was okay ga... coz at last she said one sentence before she left [colour=CC0000](I'll never see gong gong, por por and bb again!) but after she left... everything normal????!!!
Actually coz she is cooperative... I did give her $200 bonus + taxi fee coz she said she has so many things (yes she has so many clothes... one big lugguage... 4 hand carry + some plastic bags)... I think I am a good mom laaa even though I was so angry before...
However...
Yesterday, I was sad coz I felt abit sad of I’d kicked my bunbun out of my door ... like a bit guilty... BUT something happen in yesterday which made my feeling 180 changes!!!
My ex-bunbun called me this morning what she said was like below:
"Mom, I'm Emma. I've gone to the immigration this morning and got the visiting visa for 14 days...I cried all nights and missed gong gong, por por and BB... After I got on the taxi, I called gong gong mobile but no one answer the call( ?-( ?-( how did she know gong gong mobile??? even my husband, he didn't know coz he seldom call him maaa??? ?-( ?-( ) U know I didn't say goodbye to him and por por coz we laugh together everyday, eat together...(Well, she was right coz por por cooked the rice for her and gong gong washed the fridge for her!!! For yesterday -- I was accompaning gong gong whole day ... but I didn't hear any voice call woh? ?-( )... and how about bb? Did bb naughty? ?-( ?-( ...(If she really cares bb, why she didn't give me a call on Sunday arrr, she knew my mobile no…... otherwise how could she give me call yesterday morning??? )...
(then she carries on to tell me the aim of giving me call)...
Mom, a friend of mine introduced me a new employer and I've told her that coz gong gong and por por will move in very soon... but she wanted to talk to my ex-employer and so I gave her you number, her name is Helene and so when she called you, can u talk to her the reason why you dismiss me is because of what I said!!! ?-( ?-(
(what happens to me??? Why a bunbun gone but still want me to ….. and help her to tell lies? ) Well, in the first instance, I was feel guilty and wanted to help her… but after hanged up the phone, my aunt in Church called me and asked me abt my household work… then I told her abt my bun’s doing and she said
She was 做戲…?-( ?-( ?-( ?-( … her tone was so nice, soft and sincere… totally different from what she behaved at my home!!!!!!!!!
So, if you were me, what do you think…
I was angry!!!
The story still not yet finished… in the afternoon, I found a voice mail was left by her in my office…. Coz she knew my mobile … and a moment later, my auntie in Church called me again… my aunite said (she is working in a housemaid agency and my ex-bun was going to her agency and looking for a job!!!
My auntie said to me what’s going on the dialogue btn she and bun…
Auntie : “Emma, do u know why u’re fired by your mom?
Bun: “Maybe the Christmas Day issue laa… I wanted to have Christmas Day for holiday but she didn’t … you know, I have already JOINED a CHRISTMAS PARTY that day and paid $150 already… no refund maaa… and therefore I MUST GO la, right?
Auntie:” Only one occasion… then she fired you laa… have u think of any other events else???
Bun: “The fridge loh!!! She always said the fridge is dirty and actually I had just cleaned it already on last Monday (excat days is 10 days she hasn’t cleaned the fridge!!!) U know, por por brought the food here and the fridge stores both fresh and cooked food…. Therefore it made the fridge smelly!!! But it is her problem ..."
Bun carried on: “and once she put a memo pad on the fridge and tell me to feed bb with formula during mid-night… but u know, that paper was smaller than yours one (A4) and so I see it after I put the mama milk out!@!!) It’s her fault and not me gaaa… “ (That event did make me angry coz I did remind, told her many times that to feed bb with powder during midnight so that bb would not crying loh… but she didn’t followed my instruction coz took a bottle of mama milk from the fridge was very easy, no need to mix the powder with water and so…)
and maybe the first statutory holiday I went out laa… I didn’t know I couldn’t get out maaa… coz my previous ex-employer let me go ga…” (Crazy !)
Auntie: What is your day schedule???I know you don’t need to take care baby except feed bb during mid-night (but bb has already cut this meal)
Bun: I am very busy everyday ga…In the morning, I clean the floor, vaccum the floor and then wash the clothes, she gaves me so many things to wash… then in the afternoon, cook the lunch and then go to the market together with por por for two hours.,.. then clean the cabinets… prepare the dinner…
Auntie: “U said so many things to wash, what kind of clothes she requires u to wash and how long u need to wash the clothes arrr?
Bun: “bb’s clothes loh… and washing it for 2.5 hours (and afterwards she changed to 1 hour)
Auntie: “Did u have afternoon sleep?”
Bun: “Sometimes, not everyday ga… but only one hour "((auntie knows she told lies… coz once she called me when I was at home during maternity leave and we talked for 3 hours non-stop but still my bun was sleeping by that time…)
Auntie: “Why u go to market for 2 hours everyday?”
Bun:” Por por buys so many things… and so needs so long time loh… “ (Crazy woman??? The market they go is a typical one… and por por didn’t buy food there.. .just go with her coz por por will pay the food… since we never give her money to buy things…and I know even when por por took the bus and reached home (abt 45 mins transportation time), she still not yet back to home...
Auntie: “Have u found a new employer yet?
Bun:” No arr… pls help me laaa coz I want a job gaaa and $$ back to philliphines… (She told lies again coz she has just found one and now wanted to find some more for comparison!!!)
And after registration and so… my bun was so sincere and nice to my auntie and asked her to send her best wishes to her daughter…
My auntie then called me and told me this… my auntie said she was soooo cheap… didn't considerate others… and I should fire her much much much earlier… and it’s worth to fire her and kick her out of my door…
Therefore, her extremely cheap attitude made me feel very very sad!!!
And so u may imagine my cheap bunbun story why still not end laa…
Any advice? Any suggestion on what I should tell her potential new-employer Helene abt her??? Coz her potential new-employer ask her why she was dismissed only for 5 months after working for me???
(How can she find a new employer so easy???? I guess she has gave up my family so soon and started to find another family so early!!!) I'm so unlucky!!!
I'm also now to consider to fire my maid who has worked for me for 1.2 years. I think you don't need to be so angry because it is natural that over 90% maid who are bad and alway tell lies. Your one is not the very very bad , at least , she is not doing any harmful thing to you and your family or made serious trouble to you so far after firing her. She only want to get another new employer so as to "look good and get your mercy" and keep telling lies . If I were you, ignor what she said and TELL THE TURTH to the new potential employer how bad she is . DON'T SPREAD THE SAD STORY TO OTHER FAMILY. She is required to go back to Philipine in 2 week's time if she fail to get new employer. Because it's difficult for the maid to find job if her contract is being terminated and no good reference from previous employer. She will know the bad result and regret after sending back home, right?!
If I were you, I'll tell the new employer the turth because she is not a good maid.
According to my understanding, if they're (maid) not
finish contract they cannot find a job in HK before they leave except the perious employer has financial problem or immigrate to other country. After terminate the contract, they only have 14 days grace period in HK, then they have to go back to Philippine. So don't worry, immigration is not going to accept her application if she is not finsih contract.
By the way, for the reference letter is not a must, you can reject her request as this is not against the law.

You must tell the truth to the potential employer. You should not hide anything for your ex-maid. She is extramely shame. We must not let this woman working in Hong Kong anymore.
Furthermore, in my personal views, you should write a letter to the immigration department that this cheap woman is unable to be a domestic helper. :evil: :evil: :evil:
my ex-bun know this auntie is a good friend of me... and the questions why my auntie asks her is to check whether she knows she did wrong in my home... BUT of coz the turn out is NOOOOO... or I should said... even though she knows, she didn't improve coz she gave up my family.
a moment ago, she called me again...
and asked me why I didn't call her back yesterday afternoon (she left a voice mail in my telephone but coz no no. left ... and in fact I have no obligation to answer her laaa)... I said to her I am very very very busy loh! :mrgreen:
she said she is now in the agency and the girl asks her why I didn't put anything on her reference letter. She talked to her but the woman didn't listen... she wanted me to write a letter explaining why she was dismissed from my home...
(Crazy of her... I write a letter like this to her is a fair one... the letter is like this:
This is to certify that xxx has worked as a domestic helper in my home from xx to xx.)
then I told her that coz she has only worked in my home for such a short time, can't put much on it... and told her to ask her new employer to give me call...
then she said "I know I know..." then I said, "are u in the agency ... give ur phone to the man and I talk to him"
then I talk to the man...
the lady:"your ex-maid is now coming to my agency to find job... she said she took care bb... is it true?"
I "errrr..yes my home has a bb... but....i don't want to talk much, I've put down in the letter that she has worked in my home for 5 months... and as you are agent, you know this kind of case laa..."
I think you can ignor all phone call from your perious maid's and aks her don't call you anymore as the contract was terminated and she is no longer with you anymore.
No need to answer at all! For a 5months maid who was terminated by the employer, the reason is so obvious. Therefore, you should ignore what she said and wait till 2 week's time to send her back Philippine.
By the way, when you fired her, did you give her ticket maid or give cash in stead. Labour dept suggested to give ticket instead of cash for safe. If you gave her ticket, you can check with the ticket agent whether she leave HK or not because they will have the record if she use the ticket.
Yeap, I gave her ticket instead of $$ coz I also called labour department asking for this... coz this bun is not thro' agent... so I need to do everything by myself...
She has reported to immigration and she said her last day in HK (if no new employer) will be 1/1/05... I hope she will not contact me anymore... make me feel very very 'sun fu'...

Don't be upset. This bun bun is very very "black heart". Because of her backgroud (being fired after 5 months contact), she is now very urgent to find a new job otherwise, she need to go back. She so desprite that why you keep calling you to make you annoyed. She intentionally disturb you so as make you give up and then provide her a good reason of termination in order to get new job / or lie to new employer. So, pls pls pls don't give up to this "black heart" bun bun. You warn her seriously and tell her that you are very upset by the calls but you will not give any help or reference. If she keep disturbing, you will call police. Tell her that you already one-month compensation and air ticket, so that it!
You now start to count down from the date she leave, i.e. 1/1/05. Don't lose to her!! Be brave!
thks for your advice... however, i hanve't got call display function in my home tel... and for my mobile, I have the call display function and so I haven't answered her calls since yesterday... hope it better la...
yes, this was the first time I hired a bun or a maid... but only 5 months time... so troublesome!!!!
Another question, how abt her remaining thing... can I throw all away??? (e.g. fat boy pills... coz one time she played a trick... said to me that she was suddenly become extremely thin by losing 20 pounds coz of taking care bb in midnight ?-( ?-( (only feed one time in 2 am) and her friends said she should buy the fat boy pills...).,.. now the fat boy pills are left in my fridge...

P.S. I heard from my colleagues said when they back to philiphinnes and in future the come again (if they have $$), they will not trouble u... right? coz they will say 'can't contact my ex-employer anymore'... if yes, I'll be better coz she will not give me trouble anymore!!!
