My 3D2N Macau trip for 2 adult + 2 kids (younger is 3.5 yrs old)

27 Jul 05
- 11:00 am ferry from TST to Macau
- arrive Hyatt Regency at Taipa ~12:30 pm, checkin but room not available yet
- take lunch in Flamingo (in Hyatt) ~ $2xx, a big bread of diameter of > 5", good taste
- get room at 2:30pm, take rest ( a baby cot is arranged which is big enough for kid < 1 meter)
- 4:00 pm went to Grand Prix & Wine Museums by taxi ~$4x, use Museum pass of $25 each (visit these 2 museums + Macau Museum + Maritume Museum (but now closed, better check before you go + the Art Museum), for most museum free for kids, better check :mrgreen:
- 5:00 went to Flora Garden (ie. 2 lung hau) planning to take cable car to see lighthouse, but due to anti-mosquito spray, garden & cable car early closed :evil:went to nearby Memorial of Dr. Sun, which found out closed at 5 pm again :cry:
- wait taxi for 30 min :evil: then taxi to Macau tower of < $3x , go to 58/F for tour,

(buy ticket in advance via YMT travel, $50 for adult/$28 for kid)
- go to the basement of the Macau tower, free spacious kid's playroom, my kids enjoyed much there

- 6:45 taxi to 新口岸葡國餐,

my kids like the duck rice, my hubby

praise me good spot

- after dinner, walk to 葡京 take shuttle bus back to Hyatt
- my kids

like pigs

My 3D2N Macau trip - 2nd day, 28 Jul 05

- 9:15 take buffet breakfast at Hyatt, good

- ~10:00 shuttle bus to 葡京 then taxi to Flora Garden (ie. 2 lung hau) again, take the very "kuk" cable car (only 1 min. ride:mrgreen:) to the uphill then walk > 15 to 20min. to the lighthouse, the scene is very beautiful, very worth to go but very hot, no mosquito bites :mrgreen:

- ~11:30 take taxi to the Fire Services museum (Free of charge)
- ~12:00 take taxi to 大三巴, very hot & many people, go to Macau museum (my 6 yrs old girl need to pay $8 fee) + Monte Fort (i.e 大 pau)
- ~1:00 walk downward to Senado Square/Holy House of Mercy

- ~1:30 arrive famous "wong chee kee" to take noodles + congee, $1xx, good taste

(to spot wong chee kee, go down from 大三巴, see Body shop, turn left, see Bossini, then go straight, see starbuck, then next shop is wong chee kee :mrgreen: )
- walk backward to try 豬扒包 from a small shop at $8 each, taste ok
- back to hotel as my boy tired already, take rest

- 4:30 taxi to Taipa house museum (ie.乜乜葡韻度睇下

My trip to Macau 30-31 July was a horrible one. We went to Flamingo for lunch on 30 July. The food were so so but cost us $6XX for 3 adult and 1 kid. Afterwards we got a taxi and wanted to buy food stuff for our colleague but it started to rain heavily, so we decided to check-in the hotel first. As we stayed in Lisboa (as I got complimentary there), so many people from Mainland China and a lot of hores there. We need to line up for quite a long time for checking in and still have to wait for more than an hour in order to get the 2nd room (as we have booked 2 rooms). Whole day raining, night time only went to a Chinese restaurant for dinner and bought some food gift later on.
We also went to casino around mid-night and luckily I won $200. Next day it kept raining heavily, my hubby still sleeping, so I went to church with my mother and daughter, however, when the time we arrived there, the mass was gone to the end, so eventually we went to a small place to have breakfast (pork chop bun and milk tea). This time is very nice and afterwards we went to have lunch at a famous place for pigeon (forgot the name), the food were nice there also. We stand by the ferry at 3:00pm to back to HK.

My trip is no good :-|

My 3D2N Macau trip - 3rd day, 29 Jul 05

- 9:15 buffet breakfast in Hyatt, heavy rain
- 10:15 stop rain, check out, keep luggage in hotel FREE of charge
- taxi to 黑沙海灘, $4x

- strong wind + heavy rain again, just take a look at the beach, big wave + strong wind, disappointed that the beach is not so charming, it says the sand is black in color, I just think the sand is DIRTY :evil:
- stay 10 min. in the nearby playground (if the weather is good, it is suitable for kids) but now everything is wet :-|

- take bus to 路環 centre, 行去海邊度係十月初五路, tour around the 教堂, next to it is a library which opens at 12:00 noon, as it was only 11:30 not yet opened, that's a good place to take rest as strong air-conditioning :mrgreen:

- walk back to the bus station, buy 葡tart from the famous shop

, take bus back to Taipa 官也街

- take lunch at 誠昌, 水蟹粥, 蒸

I do not know much about 葡菜 gar

just follow other BK mummies & books referral jar :lol:

Some famous 葡菜 are:-
- crab, shrimp, clam (curry, fried, chiu im)
- baked duck rice
- grilled lamb chops
- fried bacalhau ball (ie. ma kai yau kau)
- dessert eg. traditional Portuguese Biscuit Pudding (i.e muk hong pudding)

木偶 is located in a street perpendicular to the 官也街, very easy to find. The food is ok, it costs me $3xx for a dish of fired rice, a middle size fried shrimp (~$1xx), a dish of vegetable, another dish can't remember tim :mrgreen: There are many tourists go there gar. I saw them take fried clams, shrimps...etc. From the book, it says the Mango pudding is famous in 木偶 but I forgot to try :-x There is another 葡菜 nearby named Little Flying Elephant, you may try :lol:
