Dear Buddies,

I find that I have a bad headache after trying to find interesting / suitable classes in summer hols for piglet, especially when I also have to draw up a reasonable schedule. ?-( ?-( ?-(

There are too many interesting / suitable courses, and there isn't enough time. Also, the classes clash such a lot !! And I an only trying to deal with 2 centres. Adding to the problem, another centre hasn't even started announcing their activities / schedule, and the HK Baseball Assn's summer class schedule is still unavailable !!!

How can I decide, with such imperfect information !!

I think I had better wait for baseball schedule before confirming YMT-Y classes.
A friend also referred summer classes of HK Playground Assn.
And I found from website of HK Society for the Protection of Children that they are also running a summer school type of course, for entire 1.5m for a total of only $3,xxx. Unfortunately I prefer piglet to have more play / sports activities than school.

O so many diff classes.
The kids' summer hols market is reaaaaaaly quite something.

Are the treetops avail at bookpeople.com the same as Treetops All Stars pack 1, 1a, 2, 2a, 3 & 3a??? ?-( ?-(

Found that they are only:

treetops 11a,

12b

and 13a

cha bor.

Acc to my rough estimate, the price of treetops at bookpeople is not much better than buying from pop (provided w/ the vip 15% for purchase over S$1000). So, maybe we need not bother your UK cousin w/ the treetops at all.

TreeTop All Starts (Sing Pop) is entirely different from Treetops (BkPpl), No overlap.

Treetops in Bkppl = books in Treetops Stages 10 - 14.

I know cos I checked every title. (We all check different things, for mutual benefit, and compliments each other. )

Will you be considering baseball for your kids this summer ?

Found from website of HK Baseball Assn that this yr, the smaller kids will be "training" in indoor gyms instead of outdoor playground, and for only 2hr instead of 3hrs. So not as tough as before.

For 5-7y, 2hrs indoors.
For 7y+, 3hrs outdoors.

But application for July/Aug not yet available, should check website in early June.
I am also checking when and where the "devil coach" will be, cos according to our experience last 2 yrs, only classes under this coach is real fun, the others are too soppy. Will let you know.

what are the strengths of HK Playground Assn.'s courses? I always see long queues there from time to time.

Went to idxx today. Less and less books. I bought two Johnthomson Easiest Piano Lesson (4 & 5) only. My bee will start piano lesson soon.

HK Playground Assn's courses - should be comp cheap gwa. Not sure. Need to take a look first.

JT Easiest Piano Lessons (4, 5)
- Piglet is now in middle of book 5 (after 2y+). Easiest is not easy.

Piglet's nose bled around 11:30pm. Agreed to no more fries, and either ENT specialist or Chin doc tomorrow. I think nose bleed = head temp higher than normal.

Hello Bluestar,

Yes. I'll consider the indoor baseball course / or the course near my living are this year. My son attended only the first 2 lessons last year, as we felt very tired for the long trip and the temp is too high to stay 3 hours outdoor!!

Any other good summer course for recommendation?
I've to study if I'll let my son to join the YMCA summer day camp again this year. How about the 3 days Ocean Park Summer Class? Will you consider this course? Sounds very interesting!
