This Mr. Yap is one of the shopkeepers of Popular Bkshop in Sing. We ordered from him last time I went, ~end of June/early July. He ordered for us, but always sooooo slow in everything. He needs to order from his supplier, but recently said the supplier said no order was made for some of the books we ordered. But we had paid, and got GST back already. And it was a vvvvv long wait, from June - now.

At that time ORT books there were cheaper than HK. But heard recently that book px in Sing has increased to HK levels so not worthwhile to buy over the mountain.

Other books were ~ HK px. Piglet asked me to buy some Thomas books last time and I found after we returned to HK that we could have bought them cheaper in HK.

You should see both list 8 and 9. Some in each. Still don't have all.

HMM,

This guy is making us waste a lot on postage !!

I went to buy some seafood at che's nearby wet market in this evening. The price is so

I bought two big crabs (cook as "cold crab") which cost me ~$900

and I bought some shrimps, two fish, chicken, pork tougne, bbq pork, vegetable, etc. and abolone at UNY. As daddy's family came to our home for house warming. But the crabs were v. yummy

My 62 ate non-stop :mrgreen:

I went to CWB at last and bought some clothes. I can't find another good "winter style" but bought some "spring style". They're from the shop I told you/GC last time (the M&M coat) and quite nice :mrgreen:

HMM,

I went with my yanyan to Jusco supermarket this morning, and found the px of fruit already

And no discount on food.
It's an expensive CNY this year.

And the fruit we wanted to buy was all gone, I guess it made way for CNY expensive fruit.
So we (me and yanyan) decided to go to YMT fruit market tomorrow morning and see whether we can find it there.

No need to wake up at 5am !

We left home ~9am,
went by bus,
bought 1 box of papaya (Malaysian, $40 for ~15 pcs + $5 for box); and 1 box of baby magoes (Malaysian, $125, ~25lbs)

Then took a taxi back, ~$29.
Back home by 9:45am.

Baby mangoes $125@box (grade B, some black spots)
Baby mangoes $170@box (grade A, less black spots)
Medium size mangoes $75@box
Large mangoes $90@box

We will go again after we've finished the fruit.

Since we were "new faces" there,
the px must already be marked up from fruit stall owner's px. But still half the px of fruit stall.

I did not even bargain (didn't know how to).
The mangoes smelt vvv good.
My home will smell of mangoes for ~1 week before we've finished them all.

Do any one of u get the full set of Ready Reader 開心小讀者 audio tapes? What is the quality? where to buy them cheap ? DD?

I have returned from 1 night 1 day trip in Macau. Wn't go again in near future. The air is even more polluated than in HK though Portugese food and snacks is really yummy.
