I just walked around, many "shops" were closed, those that were still open were lined in approx T-shaped.
I didn't go for oranges - the oranges now taste funny, not like before.
You will find a lot of "shops" with Filipino Mangoes, brand = Golden Lily, (in Chinese, = Goldlion ie the ties brand). Vvv yummy and smells good and tastes good. (We bought the baby (pig-waist) mangoes.)
I didn't know any shop there. Just went into whichever one I passed by.
A lot of Thai pomelos if you like these. V big ones from Thailand.
If you decide to buy these, and want to share, I can take 1 - 2. There are 10 in each box, boxes were quite big so we decided not to buy this time.
May go again after CNY, on a Sun morning, after we've finished eating everything.
I already gave some mangoes and papaya to piano teacher, and some to a C9 who is supplying us with homemade CNY glutinous cake and turnip cake. The glut cake was cooked and delivered today, and I asked yanyan to cut 2 huge pcs for me, but could only finish 1.5 pc. The texture was just right, but tooooo sweet.
And piglet and I together finished off half a cake of Jade Garden turnip cake already, mostly piglet's efforts. Quite good, not much MSG. May need to buy 1 more to pass CNY. Piglet likes turnip cake.
And piglet's pr school has Chin Day on Tues, kids can dress up (piglet didn't want to this yr, and last yr's dai-siu Chin tong-jong no longer fits), parents are asked to "donate" CNY cakes. Then I think some volunteer parents will have the task of frying pieces of the cake(s) for the kids. Imagine having to feed over 1000 kids !
So you are doing last-min CNY shopping the whole of next week. Let me know if you find any good buys.
It seems that everyone of us are busy at buying things for CNY. Same as you Bluestar, Jade Garden Turnip Cake is our favourite, every year, I order at least 12 including Taro & Watercheslnut for my father-in-law, my parents, some auntie and my own. HSBC has discount until 14/2.
Fruit.... I need to buy it and stock up for CNY also.
Over the weekend, I went to Sogo supermarket, it took me half an hour to queue up for payment and even 么鳳, it took me 15 minutes to pay for just 4 packs of 竽暇
Spent a lot last week end unexpectedly. $5xx at Park'n on sat, $3xx at Welcome on sun. But I still haven't stock up food for CNY yet. Bought 1 "Hung Sing" Turnip Cake, taste good and already finished it all, will have to buy some more again, let me try the Jade Garden this time
Did you know that 么鳳recently opened a branch in Kln City ? Only few ppl there ja.
The buyer for 么鳳 got permission from CWB 么鳳 to open shop in Kln City, with CWB 么鳳 as one of shareholders, this shop is called 龍城么鳳, along 衙前圍道 v near 聯合道。
Then recently the original 么鳳 decided to open shop themselves in Kln City, and this one is in 福老村道near太子道, opposite to Hang Seng Bank。Within 3 min walking distance of each other.
$$$$$
I am hesitant to buy from CWB 么鳳 ever since I saw the shopkeepers there spraying DDT at a nest of ants / cockroaches, with all the glass containers nearby !!
No common sense !!
I saw a lot of 竽蝦 in 東方小祁園too. But since I don't like taro / yam, I've never eaten this and don't know which one is best.
Last Sat. TWD presented a great award to Mr. Wong sir for his blk belt at the 4th grade. He became the Si-Fu nowaday. And he said he learn TWD for over 15-6 years.
For those kids/adults learn TWD for around 3 years , they can meet the level of Blk belt.
But do you know for the belt Red/Blk level, they still have different grades, i saw Dicky Jr. (they said), he pass the level red/blk level at 2nd grades but not blk belt???
Black belt (4) is quite "high" quali in TKD ga la. I went through their HK website yesterday, the HK chief chief instructor is BB(9), some Assit Chief Instructors are BB(5) or (6).
So we should call him Wong Sifu now ?
3y ==> Black belt ? Sooooo fast ?
Maybe at Pak Tin. Not at Prot of Child.
Who is Dicky Jr ?
So several exams between red/black belt and BB(1) ?
No idea of their structure.
Leung Sifu wanted to take all the kids to PakTin on 24Feb, but seems that response was vvv poor. Less than half would be going.
HO, my son definately fail at this exam, he is scare and forgot the last 3-steps. Si-Fu ask him to do again and he still forgot the steps. Hold that motion and don't know how to move next, until the instructor said relax. This make me laugh a lot.
But when he prastise before the exam. He is ok. i ask Wong-sir, he said he is ok for normal lessons and will give him one more chance at 24 Feb, if it is ok, still give him a green belt. I need to ask him to prastise every day at the CNY.
He can learn a good lesson of Prastise makes perfect in real life.
For Wong sir, Si-Fu said we still call him Wong -sir as at Pak-Tin, only Mr. Law is the Si-Fu, Wong-sir and Leung-sir can teaches students at other ctr and their students need to call them si-fu but not at Pak-Tin la.
may be only 1 si-fu at one ctr la.
At the last TKD exam, my son did the kicks half-badly : he could do them starting with right foot, but couldn't do the same kicks starting with left foot. And Leung Sifu asked him to do the kicks again in the next lesson, this time he could do it ==> got his belt, and was doubly happy about it, because he "worked hard" a little bit for it.
Actually they will let the kid pass so long as it is not toooo terrible.
I asked my son's piano teacher (who is a pr school teacher) whether the news re TKO pr school principal were true, and she said she heard from friends that they were.
