There are lots of good short summer courses at ymt ymca. I have enrolled my bee in six of them. Good quality! Try it out but move fast!

They have for example:

parent/kid chin painting class
kid art & craft class
little mozart music class
AQ assessment class
EQ assessment class
Dried corn art class
PTH class
gym class
swimming class
little boy scott class
tour to see Chinese white dolphin
some field trips
many other visit local tours for P1 +

they even have some tours to visit Whampao Army School ...etc. for older kids ga!!!

Thanks for the info about YMCA! I brought my kid to the gym class last summer. It was very good, though he failed by 2 marks :cry: I'm sure bee will have a wonderful summer!

I bet you won't miss "Da Vinci Code" movie la! I prefer Orlando Bloom, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Robert De Niro , Dustin Hoffman & Tom Cruise (I fond of him for a very long time since I started to read the magazine "16" at my teenage )

My son learn piano from a bk mom and her piano co charge $95/lesson for 0.5 hr (elementary grade). I believe the market price is around $9X - $1XX/0.5hr for new learner depend on the quali of the teacher.

Yes, the $$ depends on quali.

When piglet 1st started over 2.5 yrs ago, the piano teacher was a pr school teacher introduced by my 表姪。(This 表姪graduated from HKAPA, and now teaches Dip students and older students, refused to teach tiny tots.) Fees was $640/4 lessons / 45min - 1 hr each, at her place.

Then after 1 yr, she left HK for some time, and my 表姪introduced one of his Dipl students (now a HKBaptistU final yr student who also teaches paino in a studio), fees was $450 / 4 lessons / 45 min (but I increased it to $500 / 4 lessons after 2-3 months), at our place.

Both these piano teachers do NOT really look at the clock. Lessons would end when they finished going over everything, so usually overrun.

Then earlier this year, we ran into the 1st piano teacher who came back to HK already.

Ever since then, piglet started to 扭計，went to take a nap when the piano teacher arrived. It came to a point that the girl refused to teach him any more.

So I contacted the 1st paino teacher again, and found she is now working as a substitute teacher, and would have time to teach piglet. And since 3 weeks ago, she has been teaching piglet, who is transformed -- would willingly sit on the piano stool. (But of course he is not transformed when I get him to practise.) And I am paying her $700 / 4 lessons. But usually overrun again, for the 1st lesson it took 1.5 hrs !!
