Back from BJ la. Enjoyed staying with my sis though really tiring with 'taking care' of little bee. He was so happy playing with cousins.

Anyone know some good shop for making curtains??? Don't patronise a laundry shop called陽光, it has ruined my bee's lovely and dear curtain!! I need to make a replacement. :-( :-( Well, I am very ah Q, the curtains have been used for 4 years, so it's time to make a new set any way. Ah Q!!

Kv has been joining their eng class since Dec last year. I found they are quite good, esp I like the arrangement of 2 teachers (1 chin and 1 gwai-lo) attending lesson at the same time.

You may call them and quote Kv's name for free trial gar.

Your friend was taken a little by surprise when I showed up.

Eventully I decided not to take any of the on-hand items but asked him to mail all to 1 single address to save postage. Quite a lot, I think will fill 1 entire carton box. And I had to go shopping after meeting him, so did not take any away.

News : The branch of Sing Pop at Orchard Rd MRT will close ~June 2007. Reason is because there is a construction site on top of it, fewer ppl pass by, less business. (The site on top was formerly a park or something, now owned partly by HK developer gwa, and building either hotel or condo or service apt there.) Ever since Sing announced that there would be 2 casinos, property prices have shot up. Top 1 residential props ~S$2xxx per sq ft. The site imm above Orch Rd Pop might sell for S$2xxx psf and should rise to ~S$3xxx psf woh.

Mr. Casino S. Ho bought an apt / condo for ~$2600 psf woh.

Your friend will relocate somewhere else, but he doesn't know where yet. Said he will check with supplier when goods will arrive, then that lot will be mailed to us FREE.

But for the lot he already has on hand, will weigh these few days, then either let Samuel know or call my Sing cousin, then my Sing cousin go there and pay for postage, then mail to my office add.

Since the Orchard Rd MRT Sing Pop will relocate, HMM's friend will check with supplier approx how long it would take to deliver the goods, and let us know 1st. May need to go to some other Sing Pop (of course where this guy is relocated) then buy from them. Will let you know later. But I told him what you wanted.
So this time I could not pay and claim GST (sales tax) yet. Will see.

General Report :

Day 1 :
5 Star chicken and rice takeaway (location is oppposite Bukit Timah Shopping Centre) to eat at home (we stayed in a cousin's place > 1000 sq ft in Bukit Panjang near border with Johore, Malaysia something like Yuen Long to us, not hotel) - but rice was 生米, so my cousin phoned and complained, they admitted, apologised, can go and get back good rice, but too late so we did not. Very tender chicken and rice tasted OK though the rice was a little on raw side. Tasted better than 文東記。

Day 2 :
Went to zoo, bright sun at 1st I had to take out my small umbrella for shade, then started to get cloudy and drizzle, by the time it rained heavily and there was a thunderstorm we were already in KFC for lunch and stayed for ~1.5h until rain stopped, and went home. Kids took a bath then went to have dinner with relatives (incl my 3叔 and 4aunt and cousins). Then went to a cousin's flat - ~1500 sq ft

in some home-ownership 組屋。

Day 3 :
Went to Wild Wild Wet with piglet for breakfast, piglet stayed there to play with my niece's son (9y) under supervision of my niece and brother-in-law, while I went with my sis and another niece + her daughter (~20y) to Harbour Square for shopping. (I am 姨婆 to the younger generation there ga!)

Found a "Killerney Kopitiam" fast food outlet in Harbour Square which belonged to exactly the same coffee shop where I wanted to have coffee and kaya toast.

And bought sev jars of kaya then no need to go to the original shop in Killerney Rd for it again.
Piglet loved the Wild Wild Wet waterworld, refused to leave, wanted to play again and again. Initially said he was scared to try this and that, but after trying, wanted to repeat again and again.
There is a Pasir Ris Resort Centre, can stay there for a few days and just walk over to Wild Wild Wet and burn into charcoal.

I went to a niece's flat where my sis is now living - one of the "very small" 組屋, ~7xx sq ft but rectangular in shape, no corridors so vvv 實用and it's in Choa Chu Kang, convenient access by bus / MRT.
Then had dinner in "Mellben Seafood" 龍海鮮螃蟹王"
(Address : Block 232, Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 (St. 22), #01-1222, Sing 560232, Tel : 6285-6862, daily from 5 - 11 pm) 大牌檔style, no air-con. Had to wait for 1h if you want to eat their crabs (eg 牛油蟹 which is not chili, 蟹粉is also good, 炸豆腐with lemon sauce).

Then went to a niece's home, 私人參建居屋type of flat，~1300 sq ft., with club house and open-air pool.

Day 4 :
Went to meet my sis and niece in Orchard Rd, had lunch in a restaurant like Delifrance called "Hans", then to Sing Pop in Orchard Rd MRT. Then to TRUs for some toys for piglet and compare px of Lego in Sing and HK. After that went to Marina Square again at piglet's request, to a Lego shop, where there was a huge barrel of Lego, S$79.90 for 1800 pcs, but barrel was too big for us to carry back to HK. Bought some TY beanie baby bears for piglet - 2L and 5S.
Had dinner in Newton Food Centre, cos brother of my niece's husband runs a small shop there selling Roja (炒蘿蔔糕). So my niece's husband knew most of the shop owners there, and ordered some satay, 2 Sri Lankan crabs for S$65 (they would charge tourists ~S$130@

. Piglet had a bowl of 魚翅湯 S$15@ and liked this a lot, this had real魚翅 though it looked something like the 碗仔翅 found in HK.

Day 5 :
Filled out a Sing Airline mail order form, dropped a credit card without my noticing. When I reached the airport my cousin's wife called and said I left a credit card on the bed, had to ask her to bring to HK when she comes in end June.
(I bought a Sing mobile SIM card, $18@ Star Hub, so could call my relatives and they can find me around. Can also use this to call IDD though of course more expensive than using regular phone system.)
We were only sure that there was a Bengawan Solo cakeshop in Terminal 1, not sure about Terminal 2, so went to Term 1 for my pandang cakes first then went over to Term 2 by Skytrain. After checking in our luggage, found I had little / light to carry and wanted to buy more pandang cakes, went back to cakeshop, but NO MORE in Term 2

. Decided to go back to Term 1, but all sold out there also, would replenish stock before 3pm woh, had to buy some cut pieces instead of whole cake (of course slightly more expensive). Found some pandang flavour 紙包蛋糕，S$1.1@，quite expensive, so did not buy.
When checking in Sing Air, found that I was already overweight with 1 box of BBQ meat + 1 box of Yakult Lite (incl Kaya jars).

Fortuantely the staff at airline counter let me through without charging extra, but warned me to be careful next time woh.

So my eat and eat holiday over, now back at work again. :-|
