Piglet just finished 3 days (3 subjects) of Term Test.
Easter hols as from now, right till 17Apr.
His latest craze is online games, firing mad flying hens, and some destructive pinball.
We won't be going for the seminar this Sun, but will likely go to CP for a look-look at books of 和平圖書.
Need to do Chin "book reports" on 8 books, we only have 7 Chin books on hand (already counting those P1 books from SunYa and pub lib books), need to stock up. And need to do a few "book reports" on Engl books - this one is easy, I just go to lib for ORT books, or find something from stock.
I won't be buying ORT at Sing Pop (those in pub lib are still quite new after cleaning the cover with Jif, more economical to borrow), but will likely buy Songbirds. My hesitation in Routes to Writing : may be too systematically moulded, not creative enough.
Do take a look at whatever interests you and let me know if you need help in spending $$$.
It will be my turn to have NO maid for 1m, from 21 May. Piglet's Term2 Exams start on 29May. Hope I can find satisfactory help !! :-(
How's your son doing ???
And what about the other kids ? Time for P1 yet for the middle one ?
晴晴_媽媽,
and tks for the invitation.
When's the excat date ? If exam time, then too bad.
blue*, re:np ~ big pig is piglet's father? so you're pig ma? (我都成日叫阿女做乖豬女, 所以我就係豬媽la) do you also work nearby? we may have meet in np before wor.
re:DD, that's fine. 我地話訂都攪左 over half month, not much time to search books. 你地有無d 正野介紹?
Do you have the full ORT or any other side products /price list for sing. pxpular?
KL,
Awaiting for your comment on RtW!
Bluestar,
You may borrow these books from public library for your book report:
1. 胖國王 (張蓬潔)
2. 瘦皇后 (張蓬潔)
3. 智慧心窗 系列 (Level 1 - 3)
Funny and easy to read picture story books.
BTW, the Chinese idiom VCDs (with both Cantonese and Mandarin) sets are worth to buy. The picture quality is fair. It's a good teaching materials for introducing the Chinese idiom to kids.
Ching_Ching_Mum,
I didn't order the set of Peason Story books yet. I think they are probably the chatterbox / infotrail readers which are the 2 series of level readers issued by Longman in Australia (need to confirm). Each of this readers costs about HK$2X - 3X for a story. Now the China version is only $1X for 6-8 stories.
I don't think it's too difficult for a 4-year-old kid. I'd rather worry that these stories are just too simple for 4-5 years kids in HK standard (esp. too simple for KL's son la!). You can check from DD website, there are some sample pages for each level.
(Probably KL should consider to order only level 3 la! )
Anyway, I'll place an order, as I have no. 1, 2 and 3 to read.
