Still thinking about Wild Wild Wet cos it may be quite similar to Ocean Park 夏水禮.

Will buy some "千層糕" back cos I'm a cake-lover la!!

Einstein Never Used Flash Cards 's authors recommend 'Blue Clue's', 'Teletubbies' and 'Barney's' for young kids instead of flash cards and those early-education tools.

They are all repetitive in nature and highly suitable for young kids. Sesame Street is not recommended for very young kids (but maybe for older kids) though they have nice characters.

Below is a book they recommend. Cannot find in the library unfortunately!!

I read this book to my daughter fifty times or more. It is a wonderful piece of poetry to recite; rhythmic and fun. The pictures are very detailed, with lots for a child to discover and ask questions about. Every page has an intricate drawing with many different recognizable details. I found it to be a good jumping off point for many varied discussions when my daughter was a tot. I send it to my friends who are having their first baby....

There is a type of "雪芳蛋糕" with a big hole in the middle of the cake, which is green in colour because one of the ingredients is "banyan leaves", a pleasant-smelling herb -
the banyan-leave flavoured sponge cake is vvv good; my mum loves them. Available from the cakeshop at Sing airport, and also in small cakeshops all over Singapore.

yes, the greenish cake. Look monstrous but tasty!!!

think one should try the stingray 魔鬼鱼 at spore food market. But, very spicy!!

Clever observers will spot her eye or tail or jaunty polka dots in every spread but will still rejoice with Little Fish when mother and son reunite. While the plot is eminently predictable, words and pictures work together to create an original whole.

The vivid colorful pictures attracted me to this book and the nice story of the little fish looking for his mother kept us going back again and again. My daughter (2) loves to look for mother fish on each page. There is always a little part of mother fish to see - although little fish doesn't see her until the end. Sweet story and great pictures. One of our family favorites!

Learnt a few new animals from this book: jacana (a bird), okapi (an anteater like animal with stripes on its pet-pet!! :mrgreen: ), genet (a fox like animal), freckled fish (老鼠斑!!)...etc...

Hi aunties,

I like chapter 3 very much . It talks about ghost in the bookstore and many people come. The cat was happy because her plan was working. The mice could stay.

Another book I like is Fluffy goes apple picking. It's about a pet called Fluffy. He doesn't like Kiss, a pet in another class.
