I just fried my maid 10 days ago. What I did is to ask the agent (who helped me to employ this maid) to come and tell her directly, ask her to pack the stuff straight away and then leave the house with her.
Another suggestion, (one of my friends tried this before) hold the viewcam since the moment you inform the maid. So the whole process (packing, acknowledge receipt...etc) was recorded and you can keep this just in case she sued you afterwards.
I heard that some of the maids call police/labour dept, claiming that she signed on the acknowledgement letter (on monthly salary or compensation) only because she was forced by her employer to do that.

I've started to find the local part time maid and will be okay in next week... and I've found a friend of mind in church who has worked in an agency to help me calculate all the money I need to pay, buy the ticket and so on...
Coz this maid was introduced by my friend who has emigrated to US in July... and so I did everything by myself loh! I know I must be very careful to this coz she has so many sisters in HK... yes just like 'black society!'
and I'm so pleased that all of you support me and I've tried many many times to persuade my parents-in-law and my parents to let me fry her... now, they all agree...
When I back home yesterday night, her face was black and nothing to say... and she has tied up her hairs... arrrr! but still ...
