Yes, I attended a tax seminar before and found out that there are lots of illegal practice BY US :mrgreen: even day tour arranged by the company should be shared by all participants as their taxable income if we really do this, no one will join company events!!
Do you have PRC office? In my previous company, our SH Accounts Department does this directly with the Tax Bureau. I am not so sure if it is paid directly by HKO, you may check with your tax auditor, they can help.
If you have a PRC office, payment can be made via it directly to Tax Bureau.
If you don't have a PRC office, suggest you keep doing it via the consulting firm (i.e. the agent).

We dont have office in PRC. As the GM wants to cut cost, he asks me to check whether we can directly deal with PRC tax burea or not. e.g. T/T the money to PRC tax burea.
最近公司玩 "cost down", 個個 都 suggest cut 喱樣個樣, u know HRA 最易比人 cut 野, 所以我最近經常要check 野.

we also had cost cutting exercise early this year, my team can only contribute some cents on saving as what we spend is "sesame & green bean" compared with other operations department. We issue employment contract to general workers with photo-copied letter head instead of the beautiful one with watermark, we negotiated with our printer for staff magazine, .......

If family member of a staff passed away, if HR initiates the collection of 帛金 or their own department do this? ?-(

in our company , if the staff is manager level, will be initiated by HRA mgr. if the staff is staff level, will b initiated by their own dept. U see, so 階級觀念 in our co.

My AM also said it should be initiated by their own department but this case is really the family member of a department manager, so their staff may not feel good to do this, I also agree that if it is a general staff, it may be raised by their department manager; but for manager, it is better to raise by HR. OK, I use it as a guideline do it after the festival then - unfortunately that we have 2 managers have the same happening in a week
