Just want to let you know that I bought a copy of "ORT dictionary" for you. The dictionary contains ~300 "vocabularies" extracting from ORT Stage 1-5.

Hi Gloria,

I hv 1set of the Scholistic Sight Word Readers 系列.
The stories r not attractive to my daughter though pictures r very colorful. I wld say, no interesting story at all, repeat words simply for the purpose of repeating them.

There are a lot of dinosaur books here. And we went to a discovery shop today, your son would love these 2 items : a dinosaur book coming with an inflatable, 1.5 ft tall dino with outstretched hands; a dino bone also around 1.5 - 2 ft tall which the shop put onto the dino's hands, but contents were only mazes with dino shapes. Don't know the cost of both, just that they were quite cute, the inflatable dino and bone itself w/o the book and maze would be better.

My son appeared better, no fever and no coughing in daytime after putting more clothes on, so did not take him to doc. But at night time, coughing again ==> need to take him to doc no running chicken.
Doc here give antibiotics to kill the cough first thing.

No bookshops today. Went to a haberdashery (spelling?) - shop sells knitting wool, needles, paint for decorative work, ribbons, decorative (fake) tree etc under 1 roof. Bought 3 beanie baby - Pluffies series characters - hippo, duckling and piglet. US$4.99@

If anybody is still interested in cabbage patch kids, they are sold in Target supermarket, I saw about 12 there, selling at either US $2x.xx or US$4x.xx @ (forgot which).

Got kicked out of BK at 9:xx am your time when there were over 1000 logged in. So slept first and got up at my son's wee-wee time to log in. 3:20 am now.

Will be going to Gilroy again on Thurs, to finish my non-book shopping.

:-(

Addendum :
After posting the above msg, the Dinosaur was kicked out of its aol connection. After that, had to dialup for about 20 times before resuming a connection !!

Re coughing, boil spicy ginger water. Then add some honey, and ask your kid to swallow it. If he has sore throat, better further rinse mouth with salt water.

Ginger water can cure allergic cough as seemingly the case of your kid.

Really envy you... can go shopping every day with so much prey. I have lots of paperworks on my desk after coming back from SIN trip!!!

Is there any coffee shop (like Pacific coffee in HK) which offers free internet access? Think the computer there will not be dinosaur!!

Sometimes antibiotic is inevitable to cure disease in a quick way. Hurry to bring your son to see doctor la! Hope he'll get well soon.

btw, today is my son's 4-year old birthday. I've already ordered a 5-pound James engine birthday cake for him and arranged a dinner party (booked 2x12-seats round tables la)with all close relatives

Tks for the ginger honey drink. Need to use old ginger I presume. Will see if there is some in the house. Gave my son a warm honey drink tonight. He isn't coughing as much, improved a lot after we insisted on drinking more water, warm water only and one more layer of outerwear for him. Some pumice (? spelling) in the throat I think, once he throws that out should be OK. When he plays naughty wants ice water we threaten that we will take him to the doc for a needle.

No need to envy me. My son is the whining groaning type. Wants to sleep before he takes his bath. In the bath says water is too hot too cold cannot breathe why need to put on lotion complains nonstop. In the restaurant says he didn't want to eat xx type of food already full then said he liked the place and the food once we forced him to start eating.

Forgot to say : Happy Birthday to your son. So what are his presents for today ?

Didn't buy much today cos the old ladies claimed to be tired and wanted to go home to rest. Only did a very quick round of another Target store, I've bought enough Hanes undie T-shirts / briefs / socks for both my hubby and my son to last the next 3 yrs I hope. And spent 70% of the cash I brought already. :-( (Had to pay for flight SF/LA/SF US$48x and D-land and L-land tickets US$3xx in cash. The sxxxxx woman charged me $139 for an adult 3-day pass when it should have been $109 for child 3-9y pass. Need to go back tomorrow or Friday to get back $30 refund.) Our bill for Cosco alone was US$66x because of all the books and Centrum silver ($16.99@) glucosamine tablets and calcium tablets and they only accept AE in name of Cosco member.

And we went to 2 different TRUs yesterday and today, found the Lego Thomas set already on the shelf eg Percy selling at US$10.99.

With my son tagging along, cannot go anywhere except toys section, so wasted quite a lot of time waiting in attendance. No coffee shops too. Starbucks are more commonly seen.

Gilroy again tomorrow. 1 or 2 Polo bear twin flat sheet(s) for your son, Gloria ? Material is like denim.

Re the 2 packs of DVDs I bought from Cosco at $16.99 per pack of 3, ran 1 DVD today (How do dinosaurs say good night etc) and found there were 7 stories in each DVD.
One of the stories was "Zin! Zin! Zin! A violin." - Kittilock you might be interested in finding the book for your son - about an orchestra playing, introducing some more common instruments like violin, cello, bassoon etc. Actually I find the video should be more interesting, but if you also have the book then the kid could undrestand more easily.

Friday I plan to take my son downtown for a ride in the cable car. Need to take several modes of public transport, which my son would most enjoy. Hope I don't lose my way, I went by myself over 10 yrs ago now I don't know the way.

Yesterday we saw 4 police cars doing 1 small collission case without anybody being hurt and my son took photos. Then a 5th car passed by, the policeman knew my son was trying to take a photo of him and his car, was very nice even switched on the siren lights (without sound) on roof of police car for us and waved.

Is Zin! Zin! Zin! a Violin really that good? I've also found this book in web and ordered thru' paddyfield on early July. But still not received yet at the moment!! Very very slow processing....

I've also ordered another similar book "The Story of the Incredible Orchestra : An Introduction to Musical Instruments and the Symphony Orchestra", you may look it up at the bookstore also.

Magic Tree House at US$5/2 is a very good price. I still owe vol 24, and 28-3X la.

Glad to hear your son getting better today.

Re Thomas Lego Percy set, Lego e-shop sells this at a price of US$9.99. So Toysrus is more expensive la. Better comparing price before buying.

My son can only get his bd present when you come back la!
