For the interim I was missing just then, I was again kicked out of BK very suddenly and couldn't log in.

The "Zin !... A Violin" in video is good and there is background music to demo the sounds. In this case the video should be better than the book.
And it is simple enough for little ones.

I think I saw "The Story of the Incredible Orchestra : An Introduction to Musical Instruments and the Symphony Orchestra" at B&N, but wasn't looking for it so didn't pay much attention.

If I can go back to the Targets again (it is not the nearest one to home) and see Magic Tree Hous No. 24 and Nos. 28 - 3x which are $5/2, will buy it for you. But remember there is also sales tax of either 8.25% or 8.5% depending on location of store. Will only be able to buy those originally priced at $3.xx, some titles like No. 34 hardcover I saw in B&N was $1x.xx original price so these shouldn't be in the $5/2 offer.
How come you have so many Magic Tree House books already ? For your own reading ?

Re: Thomas Lego I only said I saw them in TRUs. Of course I didn't buy and I still remembered that Percy set was $9.99 from Lego.com.
My son told me he very much wanted the entire set of Lego Thomas as usual he always wanted to own everything then once in hand throws them away. His papa and I are already worried that he will behave similarly towards his GFs in due course though he says he hates girls nowadays. I don't want to jup his hand-tail.

The Polo bear bed sheets are blue denim background with lots of bears so boys should love them. Will be able to buy 2 flat sheets suitable for 3' x 6' mattress for you if you have no objection. The fitted sheets are much more expensive. I bought 2 on my last trip and now there is a 20% discount on top, so cannot resist temptation.

As I said, I can have total 6 pcs luggage max 70 lbs each, now I have 1.5 suitcases, plus 1 heavy-duty carton box for books, 1 less heavy-duty carton box for all the Hanes and socks and my son's clothes and Lego which can come up to about 60 lbs max. The rest will be for Starbucks coffee beans, the vitamin pills, and there should still be space.

I will pack the loot downstaits in the garage so that I need only haul it into trunck of my cousin's car. Once at the airport I will handle 2 trolleys until I check in the luggage leaving only 1 pull-along for my son, 1 back-pack for myself, 1 carry bag for my mum who will be taking a ride in the airport on wheelchair. (She can walk but very slowly, and such wheelchair service is free except for a small tip in US and absolutely free in HK.)

Is the "Zin! Zin! Zin! a Violin" video has the form of DVD? It sounds interesting and want to own it after hearing of what you've said la. Will it be possible to help buying the DVD packs for me, if you see them next time?

Yes I start keeping a collection of Magic Tree House after having a copy of their vocal CDs la. Quite nice!! Of course I will read them by myself at the moment, and will pass to my son when he's able to read them.

Don't want to bother you much. But if you see US$5/2 next time (no matter with the sales tax cos it's still cheaper than that of HK), pls buy for me la.. Tks!

My son and your son is very much alike ---- want every toys he sees, and put them aside after successfully took them and played for a short while. Time to teach them to treasure things in the world and delay their own desire...

Yes, "Zin... A Violin" it is in the "How do dinos say good night" DVD which contains 7 stories.
I bought 2 packs of Scholastic DVDs from Cosco at US$16.99 per pack of 3 DVDs, each DVD has 7 stories. So not too expensive. Can lend you the VCDs so you can look look. Some stories may overlapp with the Scholastic VCDs Mydear is selling.
Found the same set of 6 DVDs in Borders for $59.99.

No need to

me boh, will do la. But need my chauffeur cousin to take me to that particular Target - this place sells a lot of titles in the set, maybe even more than B&N.

Re : likeness of our sons,
your son will put them aside after successfully took them and played for a short while,
but my son will put them aside immediately after successfully taking them.
See the difference ?
I have tried teach my son to treasure what he has, explained to him that not everybody in the world can have that many toys and material goods....... no use.
Maybe need to take my son along to do some volunteer work once he is old enough to help.
I have also threatened to leave him with PLK and exchange him for another kid. (He will be attending a PLK pr school anyway.)

I have finished 1/2 of the book. More I read it the more I like it. Its Chapter 5 talks about 'reading and writing abilities of kids'. Some good games are suggested and some key principles are mentioned. I will try to sum up for reference. This book really rejoices our hearts here as we all in this book-hunt topics are on the right track. Hurray!!

btw, I still want to own it la......... cos 7 stories x 3 DVD x 2 pack = 42 stories costs only $28x jar!! (avg HK$6.8/story in DVD). As Gloria said, this may help a bit in satisfying your shopaholicism gar!

Regarding our son's behaviour, it's no use to let them doing volunteer works. Better send them to Whampoa military school for tough training!!!

If I go sleep early, won't have the chance to chat here. And I can sleep in the car ma. 1 hr@ to and from Gilroy tomorrow. I am on holiday and take things slowly, so have energy left.

Fortunately my cousin is the Supervisor of a pre-school here and can handle my pig with her experience. The pig is quite scared of her. Also the chauffeur has the ultimate say in whether or not he gets taken to toy shops and TRUs.

I want to go to that books-Target again - haven't really looked at what was available. Lots of "cherokee" brand kids clothing.

Whampoa military school is no use, I heard HK parents complained that their kids were treated too harshly and the end result was the school toned down the harshness a lot in order to attract / keep their clients.

Will ask my hubby to take piglet to a rather remote area of Sai Kung near Tai Long Sai Waan for 2days1night after we return to HK. Last time he went there he charmed 2 chicken wings out of some ppl who were having BBQ there while papa was sleeping.

Clarification :
I didn't bring a briefcase of banknotes. Don't attempt to rob me at the airport or kidnap me. There are US$100 banknotes now, and I spent US$ notes like HK$ notes in the past few days. :-(
I don't have a platinum / titanium card. Just a gold card for which I REDUCED the credit limit before coming to SF, and also brought along 2 other po-tung credit cards as spare. Should be more than enough already.

Now that I have the D-land entry passes and L-land passes, I need to figure out how to go between the 2 places on public transport. Seems that 99% ppl drive and only 1% need public transport. Need to sort this out asap once I check in at the hotel in Anaheim, some hotels provide such service while others don't.

Forgot whether I said this :
fortunately I got the hotel at HK$32xx from Zuji for 4 nights, and the plane tickets at US$47x.xx for 2 passengers.
When I checked the prices last night, they had risen to HK$43xx and US$8xx respectively !!
So I regard myself to have SAVED quite a lot.

although them might have come even cheaper if I had bought even earlier, but was 15/16 while still in HK. Must see and check from reviews that the hotel is clean and cost-effective before I dare to book.

Just tried to search on Amazon re cost of the DVDs there, and found 1 terrible point : the DVDs sold via Amazon are for Region 1 only.
So I am not sure whether you can read the DVDs in HK unless you use a China-manufactured read disc king.
You had better check check before committing yourself re whether you want the DVDs or not.
The titles of DVDs in the 2 sets I bought are :
