I told her that I have asked so many HR friends as it is the practice to raise this by us for department manager - then she said, then ok lah, i do what you want lor 
She is a very long serving staff here so she sometimes insists that her experience and belief is correct although will follow me finally a bit unwillingly 
The accounting field is really surging now, an Inter holder + 3 yrs experience + ACCA student membership would expect much more than a "clerk" and will expect more salary lor.
eace, In fact, I was specialist in recruitment in a company for 3.5 years and was a specialist in C&B (local + PRC + north asia) for 5 years.
