ontingma: hope it can help. Well, it is quite hard to find private school here, and that's why we discuss the Kowloon side.
Well, I know because I 8 a lot around. Please tell your sister she may try 深水涉崇真 (private one and is going to have a secondary school, my impression is that it is quite easy to get a place) and 聖馬加利男女 something (on KOwloon side, one-dragon and should become 直資 this Sept.)
$8400 is not including 電費. Besides, 電話費$100 is free(I have some argument with them so they offer free service to me). 初頭都有用洗衣機但悟多好用、我記得我媽話集埋磅洗沖好.果時他們回來一個月、咪費時煩.D衫唔乾又無地方‘朗‘.好似for security reason唔recommand開窗.
My son is 20 months so I am fully understood how tired you take care two 19 months babies.
I&IMOM: I guess you can switch classes from year to year, depending on your progress. Some schools classify their students every year when they get promoted. Well, I guess this p.1 classification is for teaching convenience, to avoid too great the difference between no. 1 and the last who does not know all 26 alphabets.
eggegg continues the playgroup. My point is to keep her oral with foreign teachers. I have also asked about the YSL Cambridge test. My information from eggegg's playgroup is that when your girl gets into p.1, you can take the test. There are some pre-test preparation courses. You need not take these courses and can go to the British Council to arrange the test. For exact information, you may check British Council website.
At this moment, I have no intention to let eggegg take the test as I am not going to search another school. May do so a few years later, just in case she needs to change school. On the other hand, there is something called Cambridge English COurse, using British Council materials (work books called Join-in, Playway to English), stressing listening, oral, writing and reading (but has no direct relation with the YSL test). You will get a certificate after about 30 lessons, and then get promoted to an upper level. eggegg has just taken 4 lessons. As eggegg is only K3, and so the lesson concentrates on oral and listening. To me, this is enough as I just want to her continuing talking with foreigners. You may this is one way to prepare eggegg for P.1. Actually, I am not that worry and hurry now, partly i am lazy, partly there are 11 years (p.1-F.5) to worry and to push. Well, this summer I will train eggegg to write, especially the Chinese words. Whenever she is doing Chinese homeworks, she will say 'I am tired. My head is painful.' Also she sometimes confuses the letter 'p' with 'q' and 'b' with 'd'. So this summer, if I remember and not lazy, I will revise her k3 materials. That is, and much more is coming.
Are you planning to take the test, just in case you need this for the target school after June draw? If you cannot take this test, may try AQA, some new product and the ad. says it can help prepare the k3 to apply p.1. There is something called Trinity and I am not quite sure what it is about.
So how would you prepare Isa?
besides playgroup, eggegg also has classes of Chinese dance, piano and paintimg. Really busy. Ah! this summer, plan to go to EFS english summer camp in place of MOS English lessons, another preparation for P.1.
