Dear mont mums, any comments on buying mont materials to be used at home directly from Daisy? do u think this will be more reliable, or do u think buying from the Internet is good enough?

when i took daisy's class in March, she didn't sell Mont tools. thus, i don't know the production site of the tools selling.

in view of the freq. toys recalls this yr, u may wish to double check the origin of the tools first.

mont 其中一個主要項目係puzzle
本來想去daisy度買puzzle
一set2款有車同bus都要3x
要買好多set先夠用

we asked Daisy's opinions on buying materials from websites, and she said it might be risky since we couldnt see and touch the products, and sometimes minor deprivation in weighs, lengths and colour matter. we agreed, taking into account the prices of the products (on the website) are not too cheap (in US$).

we did not ask too much in depth bout the price of individual materials (cos we were running late and forgot to ask), but she did give us an idea that setting up an environment for a 0-3 BB at home would cost around HKD6000. their products were made in China (what is not made in China nowadays?) but the wood they used were imported from Canada. personally, i feel safer to buy from Daisy than on the Internet, but im wondering if any of you have already got a reliable website to buy from.

honestly, we never know that Daisy has goods to sell to us, as what we heard from is Daisy no need to buy the montessori products as bb can join the playgroup since 1.5

I thought as your suitation is a bit different, I think there is a real need for you to set home mont schooling

Personally I won't buy from internet from China for my bb unless I can see the real products myself. It is worth for you to go to the website i refer earlier for taking a look at the products and paid a visit to the shop it before you buy. I thought, if I am not mistaken, the sogo is the only retail shop in hk that u can buy mont products

Other mont mams, you may wish to supplement if u have experince in buying the mont materials from china via internet

BTW, 0-3 should not cost you any $ in mont as many materials can be home made
if you wish to set Mont materials at home, the essential stuff from Maria is for 3 -6 only. You may refers to Mar. Mont's own handbook for reference. Normally for 0-3 is just basic skill sets eg puzzle making, lang developemnt and senosrial touches only... so no need to spend $ on this.

long time no chat.

i went to kota kinabalu in the mid of dec. in the beg. i was worried about it may be very trouble to go with my baby. and thought she has nothing to learn as she is so small and Daisy said it may be better to bring bb to trip after 2. but seems the new enviornment also bring her some simulations.

頭一晚去食飯. 個到有表現. 一d malaysian dancing. 我都無埋留意. 但發覺個晚後佢一聽到music, 就一邊揮手, 一邊shake her　head. 同個晚表現好似差唔多.

去咗zoo, 佢望住d long nose monkey, elephant好興奮. 同平時睇picture 係唔同反應.

even 真係有d辛苦, 不過都係worth.

do we need the puzzle machine? if making small, simple puzzle, can we just print pics from computers and cut them into irregular pieces? hehehe, 100% homemade and very economy

the amazing stuff of the puzzle machine is after you made it, it is same die-cut aread like what you buy from stores. So I find it very very good. if you made handmade by your own, your bb might not able to find the "control error effect" as required in Montessorian technique

the reason i buy it is because it is so reasonable price so I have pm you already

It is a machine with foam boards, you have first stick your print out photos or cards to the foamboard and then you use the machine to die cut it

so the result is you get a real die cut (error control - Mont theory) cards

Which is a bit thick then normal paper and see the foam board is around 2cm

You will find it very useful when your bb grows older
