Hello Bluestar,

I finally have time come to BK for today, I’ve been Ah 4 whole day :-( I have a 5 yrs old boy and 1 yr old girl, if you ask me I would say the baby girl is an angle compares to her brother. My son is not only lazy and naughty but rude as well, he would walk pass you and hits your bottom without any reason, he would pull his sister leg when she crawls on the floor . I have tried very hard to control my temper and not to get angry, but sometime he just drives me crazy Every time he makes a mistake he would say sorry and promises not to do it again but 5 mins later, he does it again and again

I just hope that when he grows older, he will be more respectful la - cross my fingers

My son is also quite rude, hits grandma and parents, and purposefully says all the opposite to good manners.
Mostly to gain attention. Also, vvvv short-term memory now - they are still little kids.
(So long as your son protects little sister from outsiders it will be OK.)
The only thing we can do is to drill him through nagging and hope that one day all that we have taught will mentally click.:idea:
My son was as good as a lamb in the full-day nursery and his teachers said he never caused them any trouble.

By all means chase for a son. You won't know whether you meet an angel or devil until after you have one on hand.

Any one of you do regular 'stock'-taking of books bought and read by your kid? I am thinking of undergoing such an exercise so that I will know my son progress (quantitatively at least) and make sure books don't fly away.......

Most importantly, to know how horrible my bookaholicism has become!!!!

My son has shown good progress re toilet training:

1. willing to go to the potty on his own (even ready to help clear his potty though not very successfully..cox he slipped and now has a little hill on his head again!!)
2. clap in great joy after weeing or pooing successfully
3. only ask for diapers when I am at home!!

Seem that I need to disappear so as to make him grow !!

Read the following series lately:

If u give a mouse a cookie

If u give a pig a pancake

If u give a moose a muffin

My son loves them and patiently +attentively listens to my storytelling. I read the book in English for the 1st round and in Chinese the 2nd.

I have got Chinese version of the first two. I find the Taiwan translation not as good as the mainland one. For example, the translation for the title is "如果我給
