With my daugter, she is very sensitive to temperature. So in winter or even summer, I will let her wear clothes that covers her chest, and if her health condition starts to be unstable, I will have them cover her throat too. A simple way that I do is that I ask my maid to let my daughter wear her clothes with the tag side in front (as normally the tag is higher than the front side). This applies to her PJs and clothes that she wears at home, in summer, we always have the Air con on so, better to be safe. And she can't have cold drinks neither, even soft drinks i will need them to rest in room temperature to warm up a bit first. Prevention is better than cure, so better not let them cough too often, as condition do gets worst.
