ng dor gok bor. Maybe because it doesn't affect me much gwar. We have fixed interest rate for the mortgage and we didn't think of selling the house in the near future.
nei doe ho pay attention to the US stuffs bor. Coz it affect your company's business? or you want to keep current and finalize to marry to US? :D

Babesiu,
我見到有公司已經炒人,但嗰d firms都主力做mortgage backed securities 或fixed income.對另外行業d人就冇太大影響.其实今次sub-prime mortgage事件係因樓市偏軟而有部份home owner因付零首期而令到層樓變咗負資產而起.但依家d樓價只係放緩而唔係狂瀉,所以唔駛太担心.我見d人都仲好肯洗錢.

完全唔多覺喎.. Amanda 嘅school birthday party~~至用almost $400.. 樓下classroom個birthday girl 用USD$500 請magician 嚟玩1hour..
我今日, 聽日都幫Amanda 攪生日.. 3日birthday parties expense almost USD$800..
我啲同事個個都買gift 俾Amanda
我啲同事要買屋嘅更開心.. as price cheaper..
可能... as So cloudy said.. only affect a small group of ppl.

其實係咪啲大"惡"想喺shock market 興風作退...令股市動盪至攪咁多嘢呀???
因為even living cost increase 咗about 20%... ( whole milk, egg, gas price increase about 20% already)...但我哋都冇因為咁而生活困難咗好多呢...

My husband said if the house prices really drop a lot, we may buy a house in Bay Area soon after we get a job.

within a month.. the interests decrease 1.25%... woo.. haven't seen something like that for ages..
we plan to go back to the bank and talk to our consultant to re-finance as well... then we will save a lot.. haha

Try calling the mortgage bank directly, u might get a better deal. a couple years ago, i was gonna go through a refinance but hsbc has something call a "rate adjustment" that you could just call on the phone and paid a thousand or so and everything is done without going through an actual refinance. save alot of $$ & time la.

I think right now it really started to hit everybody. I am seeing lay off rounds. my few friends with IT masters are not finding jobs for months...

I think the recess is only happen in US. I am in Canada and our mortgage rate seems never went down as everyone believe Canada should follow US! Our estate business is still very strong and serious shortage of construction workers. Winter Olympic is coming on 2010 and unemployment rate seems to be the lowest in a decade. Wish the election can change your econmy soon.

I certainly hope so. :) thank goodness though as I live in the city our house stays in value. but yes, I have all the hopes for the new president.
