Agricultural Bank of China IPO lucky draw will definitely draw attention. Don't miss it for speculative buying.
I'm not CFA, CPA ...etc , so can't really comment on its financials.
My impression is that those banks with better records and easier window dressing are listed with first priority.
As Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) comes last with lots of debts, so I wonder whether long term investors / institutions will switch from the good banking stocks they have on hand.
I only believe that China Merchantile Bank will perform bettter to expand business from wealthy people and business community, rather than policy loans from SOEs. Word of mouth from white collars in China and my personal experience confirmed that China Merchantile Banks have better service and efficiency.
But China is changing fast and all banks will compete with one another to get market share. One has to watch closely each bank's results announcements. Of course one must not forget the fact that ICBC and ABC have wide network and support from city /rurul population respectivley. Their ability to compete on retail banking (like HK) may be one of the key factors of success.
So the future equivalent of HSBC as a
"long winning horse" in should be picked among
2628, 941 and 3968; or buy all of them during each
major market correction.
