工人有release letter 及只剩一個星期在港, 趕得及辦手續嗎?
領事館除了一般網上文件,還需要其他文件嗎? 要我親自去嗎? 之後點樣入入境處? 工人離港前仲有什麼要做及文件要交? 取了visa後佢係菲律賓那邊又要點做? 佢第一份約自己resign未完約的。
我第一次自己辦請多多指教!

Direct Hire Procedure

I just submitted all my stuff to immigration. Here is what I went through:

I interviewed my maid on one Saturday at 12:30pm. She had to go back to Phil the next day because her contract was terminated by her previous employer prematurely. So got her to sign all the necessary papers on that same Saturday after I checked her references with her previous employers on the same day.

STEP 1:

You first have to submit a whole bunch of papers to Filippino Consulate, but before submission make 2 copies of everything for yourself just in case:

1）4 copies of signed original employment contract with the maid, witnessed by 2 people. The contract is green in color. The maid had a set of blank contract but I don't know where she got them. Your maid should be able to get them.

2) One passport copy of the maid and signed by her on the personal details page, the arrival page, and the HK visa page.

3) 1 copy of her old contract with the previous employer

4) Previous employment visa copy

5) Her HKID card copy if any

6) If her application for visa extension has been denied, a copy of the refusal letter fom HK Immi.

7) A copy of one way ticket for the maid to come back. I bought an online ticket from Cebu Pacific Air as my maid lives in Cebu. Less than HK$600. When I get an exact date when she can come, I only need to pay HK$250 extra to change the date.

8) Your latest Income Tax Return with HK Govt.

9) Your address proof

10) For employer forms e.g. Employer Undertaking and other supporting document required, pls refer to the F. Consulate link below.

In this website you will also find what the maid needs to do after Step 2 below.

Go to F. Consulate Counter #16 in person. It took me about 30 mins to queue up and submit the forms. You need to pay about HK$ 500 + Cash for the handling fee as well as have your contracts notarized at the F.Consulate (Counter #16 staff will tell you which counters to notarize and pay. A very nice staff)

Then get a receipt and date to go back to F.Consulate to collect (you can authorize somebody else to go and collect the endorsed contracts, but not to apply).

Step 2:

After you collect the endorsed contracts, submit them + other HK Immi. required documents to HK Immi. 3/F, Incoming Mail Counter, or you can mail them.

A few forms that required by HK Immi. have to be signed by the maid as well e.g. Undertaking Form...so make sure you have your maid sign them before she leaves HK. Again make 2 copies of everything just in case. Pls refer to this link.

I think I submitted forms ID(E)407K, ID407L, ID(E)936A, ID(E)936L, ID(E)936F, plus supporting document such as income proof, address proof etc. and the maid's passport & visa copy etc. Also submitted an Urgent letter explaining why I need the maid asap.

Then went home and about 2 weeks later got a mail acknowledgement by HK Immi.

And I just received the mail today from HK Immi. asking me to wait for the visa processing.

Step 3:

After you get back the the visa, courier all the stuff (including the air ticket) specified by F.Consulate to your maid. She will have to get her part done in the Philippines. I am sure she will know how to do if she go to her local government offices.

To be on the safe side, pls go through the checklists of the F.Consulate web page and HK Immi. web page yourself. I might have missed something on my short list.

Do remember to get a passport size photo of your maid and yourself and a copy of your own ID Card. The F.Consulate needs them submitted together.
