My girls are attending N1 and K2 at St Lorainne Palm Spring. I can understand you impression as I got the same impression when the first time I visited that school. Anyway, I final sent both girls to St Lorainne because of the good comments from my neighbor and it is near my home. Followings are my comments to the school:
1. The image of the school is very commercial as you may find from the banners around the school and also the speech from the chairman of the school during the awarding day. However, day to day school life is very normal and caring of the teachers and also the assistants to students is very good.
2. Acedamic standard is above average especially English.
3. The confusion about the 學卷 is not due to the school but from the education dept of HK. 學卷to private kindergarten was granted to those students admiting private kindergartens (K1 or above) this year. Like my youngest daugher, she may not get 學卷 for the coming year since she is just N1 now. All the private kindergartens are still negotiating with the Education dept. I will say it may not be appropriate for the school to explain so clear to you how they work around to get the 學卷 because they may get into trouble if you report it to the Education dept. For us, since we are existing parents, they just need to tell us the deduction of the school fee due to the 學卷, the school syllabuses remain unchange, we are all happy.
4. I recommend this school especially Palm Spring even it may be expensive ($3500 for N1 and $3000 for K1 and above, without 學卷) because it is not crowded, 1 teacher to 10 students. It is relatively spacious. Students in general are tidy. The chance that a student catches sickness from school is comparatively low. Good promotion to primary school in Yuen Long and Kowloon Tong (compare to kindergartens in Yuen Long).

Hi AliJasEd, may I know if there is any chance for using the 學卷 for international class? Or the 學卷 would be applied to mainstream class only?

I think the chance that we can get 學卷 for the k-1 kids for the coming fall semester is not high as I have heard that the non-profit school students have already granted 學卷 and I did not hear anything from the school. We will have a school day this Saturday, will update you if there is any news regarding it.

,又話佢學校仲申請緊學卷(但我朋友個小朋友讀緊係有架喎),聽到咁我都驚驚地,咁我問番個朋友佢話間學校係咁架喎,睇人嚟收,到讀咗學校就會同啲家長申請學卷架喎,但我覺覺間學校好似怪怪地咁囉,我睇番敎育處個網佢係話有學卷架喎,同佢啲老師資格都係麻麻地,本來我諗住我個b明年讀佢n1,而家知到咁為有簡過第二間la,唔知有邊間好呢?
