I remember I read an article in a rose water website before. Here are little information that I remember and can share.
Rose essential oil is collected through the steam distillation method, and real rose water is the by-product of this process. So, when you choose real good rose water, you have to check whether the rose water is 'made' from this method, because there are lots of 'artificial' rose water from the market. Therefore, if you want to buy rose water with skincare actions, need to pick those that is 100 % natural, but not 'artificial'.
I remember I went to a shop and looked at the ingredient label of the rose water; the ingredient label listed...'water" or sometime aqua, and then rose fragrance. Then, this is not the real water. This is just a artificial product, mix water with rose essences to become 'rose smell water'.
here another sharing from my experience. I bought a Crabtxxx & Exxxxx rosewater before. After reading more information from website, I found that the one that I bought is quite 'diluted'. I checked the ingredient lable:
alcohol, aqua, fragrance (parfum), rose water, benzophenone-3....
which means although my rose water has real rose water inside, but it seems it has been diluted and mix with water and other artificial fragrance.
I also saw the word:
Caution: Keep from Heat or Frame...
I am not sure whether the above caution is due to the 'alcohol' ingredient inside.
now, i don't use this product on my skin anymore....I only spray the toilet room to get rid of the 'big big' smell now.
I looked at the Alqvimia Rose Water. It didn't have the details of the ingredient but it says, "Our Rose Water contains 0.26% of the natural bulgarian rose essence." I guess it should be nature. Better call Alquimia and find out.

I didn't have the Alqxxxx roseproduct and don't know their ingredient details. I just helped you to check from their webiste and see:
quote:
"Ingredients:
Rosa Damascena flower distillate.
Properties:
· Rose Water from the distillation of the Bulgarian Rose (Rosa Damascena) from the Valley of Roses in Bulgaria. "
So, it's made from distillation method and didn't mix with other chemical parfume .
For other brands, such as Locxxx and Klxxx, if I walk by their shop, can check check next time. Anyway, it's interesting to know.
I have ordered rose water and rose oil which are certified product directly from Bulgaria. The rose water is pure and is food grade product. That is, so pure and natural that you can even add it to the food or drink.
For the rose water, it is one of my best buy. I buy the 2 ml bottle at $390. For Alqxxa, the 5 ml bottle costs $4,000!
