I hired a Phil maid thru BK mum end Jan. She told me that the maid was good to kid and handle household stuff pretty good. She do hv high cleaning standard. Her maid use to take care her daughter aged 3/4 yrs old, full time kindergarten student and she worked at home. She only hired her for 2 moths but her relative is available to take care her daughter by now. That's why she would like to save money.

I was told she introduced her maid to few BK mum. Before interview, I did ask this BK mum wether her maid require back to Phil. She told that she told her it was all depends on the new employer. I mentioned that I cannot make it. During interview, we mentioned it once again. We cannot let her back to Phil in March even she would like to attend her daughter's primary school graduation. Both of us agreed.

During the processing period, this BK mum also called me occassionly for general chating and asked me is there any dishes we like to eat that she can teach the maid in advance (this question was asked by the maid). Seems the maid was really concerned about her new job.

The maid reported duty early Mar, I was not take any leave to guide her. Coz I believe what I asked her to handle was really general household stuffs...... But my mum came here in the afternoon just make sure she managed to take care my daughter properly. On the 2nd day of arrival evening, I asked her to do something properly (the tone is firm but not scored her). Afterwards, she was crying when she was cleaning the floor. At the beginning, she kept say nothing happen but I really worried about it (coz her ex-employer told me end Feb that she was homesick upon arrival in Nov and kept crying but it was overcome quite quickly). She claimed that I was not like her and I was not require a helper and she also worried about marketing which she didn't do it before. Then, I explained that your ex-employer told me you did good job of course I hv expectation but I understood I should change my standard at this moment and let you to improve it, and also no worry about the new task. But she insist to resign at once so I remind her she should pay 1 month salary to me and also think about the reason why she work aboard (she hv 4 kids). Then, she asked to back to Phil for 5 days for her daugher's graduation. I said NO and asked her give me an answer after bathing. Finally, she decided to stay.

Because of her emotional appearance, I changed my mind and took 3 days leave to guide/monitor her and trained her cooking skills. On my 2nd day of leave, she asked me how come I stand next to her when she is cooking dinner seems I monitored her. I asked her what's going on and your ex-employer told me she also watching you when you are doing tasks.

1/ She seldom cooking in ex-employer's family which I knew it after her arrival. Sometimes they hv dinner in nearby relative's apartment.
2/ I asked her to iron my pants but she iron it liked causal style. So I requested her to iron it with a straight line, a formal pants. She can't make it but I did not show her any black face. By the time, I knew she only iron bedding stuffs.

During her day off, my agent reminded her to follow my instructions and obey me. She told them that she must back to Phil end Mar and she already arrange the ticket but she will be back and work. They asked her to talk to me asap. Of course, I was not agreed to let her take leave as we already discussed before we signed the contract. Anyway, she has already left my apartment. I was really upset and angry about her attitudes. I am a working mum and I don't want to waste time to due with such person.

We are not sure wether she really need to back to Phil or she just make excuse to leave.

所以話個個生活習慣唔同,工人的口牌都唔同,不過介紹給你的媽媽就真的有點兒不負責任.

唉, 點都好啦, 揀工人時, 工人亦揀你, 最重要既係, 自己interview 時覺得個工人岩吾岩你

做左兩個月就..............................

I have a no. of questions.....
- A BK mom introduced you a helper. What is the main purpose of hiring an agent ?
- You said you did not want your helper to go back for leave. Do you mean that you have not given her any letter saying that she had an approval leave ? If so, how can she re-enter HK when she comes back ?
