I would think "nuture" might be a better word for 栽培.And is ususally used in training and education. Below is the quote from the dictionary....

1.	to feed and protect: to nurture one's offspring.

2.	to support and encourage, as during the period of training or development; foster: to nurture promising musicians.

3.	to bring up; train; educate.

4.	rearing, upbringing, training, education, or the like.

6.	something that nourishes; nourishment; food.

There is simply no direct translation from Chinese into English cause there are too many flowery language in Chinese that English speakers find annoying and redundant.

See the following:

你是一位友善, 有愛心,有耐性和專業的好老師!

It is sincere and polite. If we use complicated wordings, it would be like a formal business letter or appraisal.
