Our toddler just reached 18 months a few days ago. He is 26lbs which is at the 90% range. But he has been gaining less than a pound each month in the last few months.
But lately he has become a fussy eater. He used to eat at least one bowl of thick porridge twice a day with no problem. But now he spits one mouth and swallows one mouth. He can finish half a banana, one orange and other food perfectly ok.
We are making him rice or drier porridge so I am thinking maybe he is too lazy to chew plus he has only 6 teeth so it might be difficult.
Any experience and suggestion to make him swallow his rice or dry porridge?
Try different kind of foods! Doesnt have to be always rice. My 13 months old girl is a fussy eater since she was born. Doesnt like milk and congee. However, I try to cook different kind of foods like pasta (different shapes) to increase her interest to eat, she like that and eat all by herself too.
