我想問下d澳洲mama,

1) 係澳洲生完之後係唔係有bb錢? 而家係幾多$? 要唔要扮咩手續呀? or當你申請bb cert.個陣佢會比$我? 而家好似係分12個月比, rite?

2) 澳洲有milk money? 點樣申請呀? 係唔係真係叫milk money?

3) 有冇澳洲mama有申請過childcare rebate? 知唔知一般既household income唔可以超過幾多?

Hi,

you can get more information from medi care center. I just go there and they will help you to do everything. Remember to bring ur medi care card, your husband tax file number and your tax file number, also your baby's certificate. They can help you out.

Hi, Bubegigi,

1) Yes, A$5,000 if born on or after July 2008. You have to go to Medicare centre/Family assistance centre/Centrelink.

2) It is called Family benefit Tax A and FBTB, it depents on how much income your family earn... (Both your husband and your salary are included)

3) Yes, I am enjoying the childcare rebate, you'd better to check through internet.

For easy way, you should go to centrelink/medicare centre/family assistance centre to apply....All three questions you are answering they can answer/help you.

- Does the abovementioned welfare benefit to the citizen only, or include the PR?

- About the childcare rebate, say, my son born in HK not in Oz, would I enjoy this benefit?

Hi,

1) citizens and PR enjoy the same benefits, except voting.

2) it doesn't matter where your son born, as long as your whole family is PR or citizen, you can claim the childcare rebate.

澳洲咁多福利的, 如果bb係香港出生, 而自己係澳洲citizen, 唔知可唔可以來到個 A$5,000?

因為我仲未決定係香港生好定係係澳洲生好! 我想問下如果bb係香港生, 幫佢來澳洲passport 要幾耐? 一個月搞唔搞得切?

I have asked this question to family assit office and they said as long as you are citizen , you should be able to get the AUD5000 no matter where your baby is born. But you could check with them again to see if the policy have been changed.

Captainbaby & Kiwipoon,

No, baby bonus is different from you said "milk money".

Baby bonus is one time A$5,000 after you born your baby and submit the form to Centrelink or Family assistance office.

Milk money => Family Tax Benefit. There are two types of FTBA & FTBB.

How much you can get is depends on how much you and your husband earn in OZ, if both of you don't work or your husband is working in HK, you can get the maximum, it's around $3XX/two weeks for both FTBA & FTBB. You can also apply for rental assistance if the place you live is in rental.

Even either one is working in OZ and excess the limit of FTBA, you still can get FTBB if the other one earns very low income, the limit you have to check the centrelink website.

If both are going out for work and excess the limit, nothing you can get........

If you are enjoying the FTBA & B and you will leave OZ for short time, you can only enjoy maximum 13weeks, and you have to inform Family assistance office.

They must check your outown record in the financial year-end even you don't inform them. They would deduct the $$ from your bank account when overpayment.

This question, I am not sure....You'd better to check the OZ consular in HK when you register your baby as OZ citizen....
