That's how most helpers are doing their job in looking after small child, because this is more efficient, and cause less troubles in cleaning up the mess. Really can't put all the blames on her, because she may think that's how she look after a child safely, unless you communicate very clearly your guidelines and demonstrate how to train your child more independently. As a child grow bigger, the more independency that you expect from your child, the ways of grooming keep changing, so you should communicate to her your changed guidelines from time to time. Even I'm a full time mom, I always have to observe very frequently if my helper overly look after my children, and tell and remind my helper my guidelines.
