已經有綠卡,打算9/10月land。暫時目標係去bay area但未搵到屋。預產期係12月。

我知道美國既醫療服務係跟保險，所以想問下邊間醫院同醫生既婦產科服務好d,再決定買邊間保險同住既區。同埋有無話懷孕超過幾多週唔收新症？可唔可以email聯絡住醫院先？

我之前和你一樣，有綠卡但無醫療返美國生仔.你人在美國境外好難選擇醫生和醫院，你應該一回美國就去申請白卡（緊急分娩），可以包你分娩前和分娩後六星期醫療. 你之後應該去搵婦產科醫生，再由醫生轉介去掛單醫院. 唔好直接去醫院搵醫生，美國九成醫院都係私家醫院，只接受婦產科醫生轉介.

但係我知要睇資產
但我又搵唔到個資產上限係幾多

The family income limit is 200% FPL (federal poverty level).For example, for a family of 2, the limit is 2,429 per month.There is no residency requirement and no property limits.I gave birth while I got green card, working in HK and planning to move back.I did not apply for Medi-Cal mainly because I don't want the social security office to dig into my income and history.It's because both my husband and I are in a profession that requires a license to practice and don't want the state to look into our history too much.

Because you would be in your 3rd trimester when you arrive, many OB/GYN would not take your case on due to lack of pre-natal care. (sorry, none documented in US, means no care). You are considered high risk. Commercial insurance will not cover you either due to lack of medical history.

If you don't qualify for "pregnant only" medi-cal, get ATP medi-cal, which means you need to meet a deductible before it kicks in.

so u gave birth in HK at the end and bring ur kid with u to enter US so that he/she can get the green card automatically?

我係LA生，但個OB係我搬返HK之前睇過。我第一次打去，佢話唔收。第二次，我打電話同佢個midwife傾，又俾我HK prenatal care record 同Oscar results, blood test 佢睇。我當然驗得比較密，同跟美國schedule產檢同blood test。仲有我同佢講係normal delivery，所以佢收我。但我係private pay。但事先已同OB，醫院，同Peds negotiate 咗個rate。

我細仔都5歳。我當年生冇咁多B6，冇咁多麻煩人，pregnant-only medi-cal冇收入limit。個OB好人到叫我申請白咭，話佢會收。但我同佢講，medi-cal reimburse得嗰小小俾個OB，你咁好人，我做唔出。

Do you have SSN?And a relative's CA address?If you have both, go to CA marketplace,see if you can purchase kaiser insurance through obamacare, or pick kaiser as you medi-cal managed care provider group.They will most probably not turn you away.Call a month before you are scheduled to come back and make an appointment with the OB dept.

其實你可以在香港生完再來美國都可以，我另一個小朋友都係香港生，只要生完後兩年內你第一次回美時帶埋佢，入境時就可獲得綠卡. 詳情可上美國領事館睇，但你之前離開美國幾耐？有冇攞回美證？

I have green card but not receiving SSN after checking in US more than 1 month. I should call and follow up with them. I have considered buying insurance myself too but Kaiser suggests me to buy thru coveredCA. I tried to open an online account but unable to login again afterwards. Let me call them up and ask.

You would have to purchase it through the CoveredCA website and purchase a kaiser plan on there. Kaiser has a plan on covered CA that is discounted and it is called obamacare plan.

Click under special circumstances and you will find instructions on pregnancy insurance as well.

你有決定就好！但千祈啱好太勉強！以當時身體狀況而定，如要過來生就早啲來，以免好似上年台灣人在飛機生B事件.

你有無打算幫bb申請香的身份證？
如果bb係美國出世，而你同你老公已有綠卡，好難幫bb申請香港身分證。

但相反，bb係香港出世，申請美國綠卡就好易

I called SSA for my SSN this morning. they said they couldn't find my record. probably homeland security still hasn't passed my file to them..... asked me to go to the local office which I am unable to do now...

You said you will land in Sept/Oct, so do you have the "actual" green card or just the immigration visa? SSA will send you the SSN within a month after you actually landed in the U.S. I don't think you can purchase insurance via CoverCA now without the SSN.
