While waiting for my new maid to come, I would like to seek for some advices: Should I give her the choice to choose if she would prefer to have the HK$300 food allowance or to have the food which we arrange for her (actually is the same as ours). If she preferred to have the allowance, it will be too good for us as we no need to worry for her even if we skip meal.
for me , as we seldom have lunch at home, i prepare her portion of meal for lunch in the evening and put in the refrigerator. She only needs to heat up the meal and have it for lunch so it can spare her time for work and if finished all work, take rest and read books. I dont allow my maid to do private cooking at home when we are out. She only need to cook when we have dinner. You cannot allow your maid to choose food, otherwise you may end up in trouble or argument.
