I have pumped and stored 3 bottles of milk in the 雪櫃 but one of them has a layer of 豆腐花物體 on top. That milk was pumped in office on yesterday during lunch time. Right after pumping, I stored it in the company 雪櫃 and then transported it to home via fridge-to-go.
Can any moms tell me if it is normal or not? Why only 1 bottle of milk has such layer?
Breastmilk contains foremilk and hindmilk, foremilk is the milk available at the beginning of a feeding, which is typically lower in fat, more water.
hindmilk is milk at the end of a feeding, which has a higher fat content than the foremilk.
so when you see the 豆腐花物體 , it is the hindmilk, fat which after stored into the freezer, the foremilk and hindmilk separate. so when you heat it and prepare for baby, you should shake
the bottle and let them mix together, and it will resume normal.

I still have one question.
In the top white layer (hindmilk), there is 很多塊 白色物體 floating. After put it on the room temperate for several minutes, those 白色物體 will melt. Are those 白色物體 normal?
I believe it is the hindmilk. also, breastmilk
contains the fat, which you see there are
some oils on the surface of the milk before
heating. it is very normal., don't worry.
