Sorry to jump in, but I can categorically tell you they don't sell any bags to tourists these days, unless you drop big £££ on non-leather goods, you may have better luck in Paris, don't have to waste your time in London.
No worries, I would say exotic bags are even more rare and difficult these days, and massive purchase is definitely required, I meant at least 1:1 on top spendings, as the pound is still low and the retail price in the U.K. is still relatively low comparing to elsewhere. Wallets may be easier though. I would say just don't keep your hopes up as the SAs mostly will flat-out say no to you. That's what my local SAs told me their standard "policy" these days.
Honestly I don't know about the situation in Manchester, all I can tell you it's a tricky case in London, as bags are super in demand, not just B or Ks, there may be chances of scoring exotic Halzans/ Lindys or even Verrous, but personally those aren't my cup of tea.
Cannot agree more. I would just skip Sloane street H, SAs are of very bad attitude and they don't even really need to think before they say no bags to you. (Visited Sloane street H a few times during my work for the past year)
Just fyi, most are for displays only. They may have some verrous at the back (which they are trying desperately to sell these days), but one will have to ask.
Like I said, they always have Bs and Ks at the back, but one will have to drop big money before getting one. I managed to score a B30 with my regular SA couple of weeks ago, but it was an order with specific requirements..
