My son is in PNC since August last year. Had the same problem as your son, but don't worry too much, your son will settle down and adapt very quick. For new class, as I know, there will have more teacher and helper to look after the kids and will carry him/her when they are crying too strong.
I fully understand your feeling now but as my experience, don't worry too much!
