Where can I buy fund in cheaper transaction cost? Go to the fund company to directly buy or via bank like HSBC?

I have PMed you where Martin works, hope that's the martin u r looking for.

if u want to buy fund, u can walk in HSBC and look for customer services officer or Premier banking staffs to help u. i bought from them before (pay monthly). HSBC mgt fee is quite high, I remember around 3%. Each bank offers different funds and have different mgt fee. I also buy funds from Manulife with 1% mgt fee (but that was long time ago, they now charge new customers higher).
