I also want to install a webcam at home. I have the following question:
1.) as I want to install 4 webcam in my home at different location, can the system that you are using support it?
2.) I think I can't fixed the firewall problem at office. Can I record it in my home computer so that I can play it after I go home?
3.) Does you means the cam will cost around $2600 for each?
4.) Which brands are the IP cam and the rounter that you are using?
1) I think it is ok, since usually a router may have serveral ports, and may consider using wireless web cam.
2) It is no problem, much more easier than viewing it remotely. For my case, the software is included with the webcam. But you should beware of the size of your harddisk for recording.
3) 4) I saw some are cheaper, around 1500, but the movie angle is not so wide, for the one I use, check PM, not want to make promotion.
