Is there anyone can answer me?

My new born is now 3 weeks old and I used to breastfeed her. After breastfeeding or between feeding, I will pumb out the excess breastmilk around 4 times a day. Now I have already had 10 bottles of reserve in the freezer.

Since the pumped out breast milk is more than necessary, now I give them to my 3 yrs old daughter instead of giving her the formular this week. I have around 22-24 oz of pumped out milk per day and my 3 yrs old daughter take 9 oz every morning and at night.

The questions are is the breastmilk now good to my 3 yrs old girl as it suppose to be for my new born bb. Besides, as I remembered that it said the breastmilk will change from time to time according to the baby's growth and the weather. When I pumped out so much milk now, will the breastmilk that I feed my new born is not suitable to her, I mean will the breastmilk becomes suitable for bigger baby instead of my new born as the breastmilk suppose have changed say, have more fat and protein etc.

I hope you understand what I mean.

thx for your sharing in advance.

Re: Is there anyone can answer me?

shuit,

i admire you can pump so much milk at the earlier period! vow, so i think your small baby should be at very good weight because she can absorb a lot from you, you should still reserve some for him when you go to work.

in regarding your question, i know what you mean, but your breastmilk is only for the supplement to your elder daughter , as she has the main course everyday, right, like rice, noodles. so it is no harm !
also, if she is having formular as supplement, if you have extra milk, why not giving her ? so i believe it is fine with this.

good job! keep it up!
