my boy is exactly the same... say lots of words like 'dog, duck, cat, car, door...."but for 'apple' would only say 'pal" / 'open' would only say 'pen'.... can't say them together at one time....
until last week went back to 健康院, the nurse also said 2YO, not being able to say short phrase, even 2-sounded word is SLOW!!
but just 2 days ago, he seems got clicked suddenly..... he 1st said 'RED SHOE" (his favorite red shoe)... then in the same day, he said "apple"... and only within 2 days, more n more just suddenly keeps coming

hi, Jennifer91, my friend has referred a Speech Therapist to me, that they used to take their son top visit.
+ today when taking my by to hospital to see doc for his fever, i had also got a referral for a specialist, can share that after i make appointment n see the doc.
