But the repetitive "digs" perhaps meant the message ought to be taken seriously, he said.
"As kids we don't have that much of a political view on things. We do what we can with what we are given.
"But [the complaints about the facilities] are a by-product of a lack of funding and it has been a recurring theme in each video.
"For a public school [Killara] is not too bad ... [but] our theatre got burned down and they promised it was going to be back in action in a term, but it got pushed back and back.
"The portables are just ridiculous ... we have the 'portable village'.
"That [segment of the video] was a dig at the fact we have got 16 or 17 portables now."
A number of teachers had told Sam and his fellow creators they loved the video, he said.

Killara High has a good reputation.
i.e. good teachers and students
I think parents and communities need to do a lot to keep their schools in good repair too.
e.g. for my children's public primary school, the P&C spent almost $100k on books and facilities this year (and this is a low year, normal spending was $120k+ in previous years).
All the money are funds raised during the year by the parents.
Plus the many hours of volunteer work by parents who help out in class and around the school.
I have no faith in the current NSW government at all.
They are trying to gouge back some of the BER money from the Federal Government! In some cases, DET is charging schools upto 30% to project manage their BER projects. So instead of having $200k to spent on improving the school, some are finding that they only have $140k to $160k!
Plus their centralised purchase system for the schools is a joke - the NSW treasury is actually making money on each purchase!
e.g. the interactive white boards actually costs more now because we have to purchase through the Department, and this is money raised by the P&C!
I think the ICAC should be involved on this as the NSW government is dipping into money that doesn't belong to them.
