for me, it is very useful. my bb was born in summer time. at that time, we had to switch on air con in baby's room and also the living room. however, in that case, we could not hear bb's crying as there were two doors between these rooms. so, the baby monitor helped to reduce our efforts of checking if baby was crying. we did not need to check every 5-10 minutes.
