我生第一胎時在HK 買了Ameda Lactaline, 再加flexishield and funnel... spare parts 都幾貴o現在懷有2nd baby, 要買過啲funnels, flexishield and valve, 發現英國的一個authorized distributor 賣得平很多, shipping fees 不貴, 計埋save好多$$...service is also good (always give prompt reply to my email queries). In fact, the price of the parts in UK is cheap (not just the shop I've found is cheap) (e.g. a pack of 3 valves costs total of 1.95 pounds = HK24 only) but the shop I've ordered spare parts provided international shipping at resonable fees. I received the products by registered air mail in 10 days. One more thing to mention is that their funnels are new Ameda one which are BPA free. I have bought Medela bottles and some milk storage bags. I have rececived everything last week and everything is in order. i don't know if I can post the link here... But just wish to share with other Ameda users! (BTW, the shop also has Medela but I am not sure if it is cheap or not...)
I am not sure if I can post the link here... if I can't do it successfully, I will send pm to you all again.. http://www.pumps4mums.co.uk/
Personally, I think Ameda is very good although I didn't try many other pumps. I tried Medela Mini Electric (single pump) and I felt so painful with less milk, and the motor is attached to the pump, and vibration caused by the motor made my hands uncomfortable.
Ameda is fast and I didn't feel any pain (I used flexishield also). I think 唔好嘅地方 is their after sale service in HK. I can Medela's dealer's service is much better and more helpful. Celki (Medela dealer in HK) will really give professional advice and repair services while Homecare (Ameda's dealer) does not appear to understand much about the pump.. just acts as an agent to sell it.
Are you using the standard size of the 25mm breastshields? Isn't too large? Do you think I have to order "CustomFit Breastshield reducing insert 22.5mm" for security? Please advise. Thanks.
