Yes, I want to know too. Also if pumping can keep increasing the milk flow because I don' t want to breastfeed my baby directly even at night. I don' t want my baby to refuse the bottles when they know that they can have choice.
I am also pumping mama, just back to work, now pump 4 times a day (2 in the office) I found my max milk vol is ~ 1oz/hr, even I've increased the no. of pumping b4, the milk amount is more the less same. Now my milk is enough for my son ~ 3-4 meals/day, he needs to feed 5 meals/day. I don't know how to increase my milk amount
Read from medical articles, direct suck can train bb oral muscle which will facilitate them to speak. I don't know whether it's the case or not but my boy started to speak papa/mama at 10m and now 13m can speak lots of double words/pronouncing words, like dada, didi, dede, duck duck, popo, nana, 奶奶, 姐姐, 爺爺, 姨姨. Actually we hire foreign maid (I'm a working ma) and I expect he may not able to speak so early due to bi-language.
To my experience, I've once have business trip when my bb at 11m. He got fever and refused to drink water and breastmilk (bottle feeding). He cannot sleep at night and my hubby need to hold him wholenight to comfort him. One month later (I've come back) he got fever again after injection, he again refused to drink milk and water but direct suck. He even can sleep alone peacefully after direct suck. At that moment, I feel so lucky that I can comfort him by direct suck.
Every night he crawls/walks to me and says "9-9 sweetly" to me. That's the most enjoyable moment of the day!
