How old is your children? Height below 120cm is free. To buy a child's ticket, you may need to walk very far say 15 minutes depending on where's the ticket office. My experience was i needed to walk 15 minutes from Entrance 3 to the shop. It's not really an official expo ticket counter, it's a convenience store. Maybe you could call expo hotline to check for the most convenient entrance to buy tickets.
