I had elective c-section in matilda last February. Only my husband accompanied me in the operating theatre and my mother was waiting for me in my room. To be honest I'm sure you can tell the midwife that you only want your husband to be with you in the delivery room in any private hospital. Also if you put up the DO NOT DISTURB sign, none of your relatives/friends can visit you before your approval.
