I've just come back from bangkok, and I recommended :
Big C and Central chidlom at Chit Lom BTS station:
-Big C ( a kind of supermarket):
a lot of clothing for child, man and woman, and Olay products(1/2 price of HK)
-Central chidlom(shopping mall)
kid's clothing, now on sale 20%-70% OFF.
Kid's DVD,VCD: Barney, Bod the builder, Sesame Street and etc (1/3 price of HK)
Boots products: Boots shop (1/2 to 1/3 price of HK)
For night market : I highly recommended Suan-Lum Night Bazaar( beside Lumphini BTS station), it's better than JJ market if you go with kids. It also has open food court and live band.
I just back fm bkk, stay in holiday inn bangkok. excellent location (next to chitlom bts, walkable distance to Central, Big C, World Trade), reasonable price, good service.
Kid's clothes at Central - not attractive price - style and quality good but i think u can get same at hk
to my surprise, iseten has counters on sale which is cheap, e.g. sanrio (best buy).
Good food everywhere, no matter cheap or expensive.
I agreed, I came back from Bangkok this Monday and also stayed at Holiday Inn Bangkok, very very nice, but no breakfast included. The Cafe G in hotel basement is cheap.
How was the swimming pool? I can't see it from their web.
