many yr ago i got a parcel from my mom - with the old cloths and some dry mushroom. i need to go to post office to pick it up but need to pay $128 tax... so end up i ask them to send it back as the content is less than the tax....
my sister do the green sticker said used clothes and HK$100. guess the package got open and check. see the mushroom and they re-valed and charge me tax. that's what i guess. anyway, i sent the parcel back ....hehehe and told my sister not worthwhile to send parcel to me anymore..
I usually buy stuff here as I've heard here is cheaper than buying from HK anyway. But I used to got some parcels from HK. I usually ask the sender to put "sample" and value of USD1.00 but still they charged me tax/tariff occassionally.
