Sharing : Give up full-time job, become a full-time mom
I work from 8am to 9pm; during peak time, sometimes need to work on Sat (9am-7pm).
The salary and benefit are very good. Hubby worked until 8pm everyday. However, the pressure and responsibility are great.
For the good of our son who is in P1 and my health (I got insomnia and no mood to eat as the pressure is too great), we discussed about our financial situation and the importance of my son's development, we have made a decision.
I quit my job and am going to be a full-time mom in Nov.
A bit scared of being a full-time mom ( as I did quite well in my job) but I'm planning to do a particular good wife and mother.
Anyone who is a working mom before and now is full time mom? Can share some experience/ feeling with me?
:-P
Re: Sharing : Give up full-time job, become a full-time mom
It is always easy to handle the office work than to handle the kids.
I also think of quitting the job and be a full time housewife but everytime when I with my kid in the long holiday, I felt very stressed and exhausted as she always want me within her sight.
I know that it is good to the kid if the mom is full time taking care of her. I don't think whether I am too selfish or not but I think I am still unprepare to be a full time mom even in psychological or financial
But I really admire and respect those who sacrafice her job especially she love the job and to be the full time mom

Hi NaNaMom,
I just quit my wonderful job for few months only. At first, I did think back and forth whether my decision was correct or not. By now, I am confident to say that I made a "right" decision. I can now spend more time with my boy. He can learn very fast at his age now. His health improves alot. More importantly, he is much much happier than before. For me, my family is no.1 in my heart than job satisfaction. You will enjoy your time with your kid

Thank you for all your sharing. I am planning to find voluntary works to do in the morning when my son is in school. See if I can help other kids (mabybe those whose parents are doing blue collar works) in the district that need helps in studying. My husband object me to do part-time job. He considered that it defeat the purpose of my quitting of current job.
