多謝各位之前提供嘅意見, 再加以分析後, 決定回歸Nikon D700

同時入咗以下鏡頭:
Sigma 24-70 2.8 HSM
Sigma 70-200 2.8 HSM OS
Nikon AF 85 1.4 D
Nikon AF 35 2 D

明顯地, 以上兩枝變焦鏡係常規工具
定焦鏡則追求質素

Thats a scarily heavy set of kit!
Picture quality and autofocus speed is best dividend paid.

Why not wait a little longer for the upcoming new FX body?

Whats the price differences between the sigma 24-70 vs the Nikon's? I just wonder why not getting the full Nikon suite given the big lump sum spent.

24-70： Sigma $6000; Nikon more than $13500. I bought a used Sigma's at $4700.
Just tried several shots, operation and picture quality are different from Nikon's.

I bought a ten month old used D700 with battery grip $15500, where current retail price fir body is $16500. I don't wait because my son is growing and having changes. I also wonder if I am eager to pay more than $23000 for a camera body.

我都用過Sigma 24-70 f2.8 同 Nikon 24-70 f2.8
講真, 分別真係唔太大 (暗位對焦, 對焦速度)
以Sigma 的價錢, 真係抵買
不過, 我支sigma 用左一年, 個zoom ring d 膠有d 鬆

Not sure if I am right or not, my way of thinking is since lens can sell well, the true consumption cost while its in our hands might not really be much higher than the 3rd party alternatives.

However, it works only if the expensive branded product is really superior in quality, otherwise won't work.

And thanks for the sharing of your user experience.

I concur to your view.
Take 24-70 as an example. Nikon costed about $13500 one year or longer before. Now, you may sell $12000 and there should be quite many buyers to consider. Sigma costed you almost $6000. But you may sell less than $5000 and that there is less buyer to consider.
For 70-200 2.8 lens. I could spend $9000 for used 10 years old LB4. But autofocus does not function sometimes. LB5 performs better in AF but the image around edges is not good enough. It costs about $11000 used. The best model is LB6 which I have used for about half year before. A new one costs about $17000. It is almost double the price of Sigma that I now buy!
Before I bought this Sigma, I have presumed I shall keep this lens for certain period of time. otherwise, I shall suffer great loss!

我暫時懷疑我枝Sigma 24-70有些少問題，可能係軟件方面。佢對焦時吾係一下就到，偏向係去到多少少再番轉頭，我會帶去維修部檢查。

小小白IS should be hot and not difficult to sell I suppose. How much you like the Sigma 50? Just comparing the sample shots from reviews, I think its the best mainstream 50mm F/1.4, perhaps just better by the more exotic Carl Zeiss and Leica

考慮 d3 同 d300s, 或者轉會玩 5d2,

最後都買o左 d300s,

不過 Full Frame 的確有佢o既吸引力 .

D300S係勁，但我就吾爭在加多五千買夠D700。
功能上，D300S較勁，但始終FX畫質較仔細，焦距又好用得多。

I had rare chance to prove the ability of Sigma 50. Mine had autofocus deviation.
I bought Canon 24 L II soon after Sigma. I have then been addict to 24.

SSW IS should be a good lens. Surprisingly, the buyers offered low. Mine was sold $7200 (1.5 years old).
